Would they ever relase a card with an ability like this and how would it affect the game
Wailord ex from Pitch Black
Thoughts on the new Wailord ex? 380hp on a 2-prizer is obviously nothing to scoff at. Using a combination of Misty's Energy as well as the new special water energy to do 270 damage and NOT fall asleep seems pretty great. Whiffing the Misty's Energy is definitely a risk but I still feel like this card has potential.
Build & Battle (prerelease) format coming to PTCGL May 21!
community.pokemon.comWhat if every Stage 2 deck had a Drakolak?
Is Pult dominant because it's too strong, or is it because other decks are too inconsistent and volatile? My discontent this format is mostly due to just how frustrating some decks are to play. They often feel like they lose to themselves, rather than getting outplayed, due to poor consistency from not drawing what they need (like team rockets Mewtwo having difficulty finding special energies, starmie, ) or they have really weird matchup spreads (Alakazam not being able to do anything into TRM2 or Zoro/Chomp when grass decks are also popular, Lopunny into Chomp/Luc).
One of the things I miss the most is on-field, in-engine consistency pieces, Drakolak being the shining example. Be it draw power like Lak/Gold, energy fixing like Garde, searching like Pigeot/Miraidon, being rewarded for, and assisted on the way towards, an "ideal" board felt so nice. The dundun engine feels really good in some decks, like Lopunny where there's decent synergy, but otherwise feels like a band-aid to a bigger problem. Obviously we have a couple others (N's Zoroark, Gabite, Kang, Thwackey, Lunatone, Zam), but they really suffer from the volatile match-up spreads unlike Pult, which is another issue with the format I really dislike.
tldr; I want more decks designed like Pult rather than a Pult "nerf"/waiting for it to rotate out and having future formats follow the current game design approach.
What do we think of the new Ghost Veil deck?
I'd also love some input on the deck I cooked up using the new cards. Do any of you recommend any changes?
Is there an ogerpon box with all ogerpons?
I am pretty disappointed that ogerpon box only uses 2 of his masks and not a single ogre's mask card, i understand the cornerstone is only viable in certain matchups and the hearthflame is just not that good but i can definitely see the potiential the moment any of the ogerpons survive an attack and it jumps in with wrathful heart, i would appreciate any attempt to help me make a deck, doesnt have to be meta defining but at least viable and can reach master league with it
I hope he stays.
I saw one of the biggest video game streamers Charlie playing with a default Dragapult deck 😂. Can a pro please get in contact with him and give him the good decks, or collab with him. it would help this game grow ❤️ (yes I know it’s prob impossible getting in touch with him, but a boy can dream 🙏)
How consistent should you be to play this game as f2p?
Hey guys. I was playing magic arena and master duel until 2 weeks ago. I stopped because I got a new job and being consistent for dailies was getting too much. I saw a video about ptcgl and thought that I can check if I can play this game mainly on the weekends and still be competitive in contrast to the other two which either require me to play daily or semi daily throughout the week to be able to complete.
What does everyone think of my card suggestion? I promise it'd be balanced.
For fun: Watching the regional from this past weekend, and seeing that Pult deck is nearly 50% of decks. What nerf does Pul need to have in order for it to be balanced with other decks? Lowered HP? Less damage? Something else?
reddit.comIt’s a great time to Slowking
Went on to a 16-win streak before losing once. As the saying goes, winner winner Pult dinner.
Is Metagross an accident?
Do you guys think they intentionally thought of Slowking and gave it a 300 dmg attack? Or do you think this wording slipped by Q/A?
How it feels seeing newly revealed Pitch Black set cards
What ability would you give to a new Marnies Morgrem to put Grimm back into the top meta?
Best dragapult counter
Indianapolis is coming up and I’ve been thinking about what be upcoming meta will look like. At this point, what decks can consistently counter dragapult?
The future of the meta isn’t looking great, it just seems to be full of dragapult. That being said, I think grass decks (arboliva, hydrapple, ogerpon) have some real potential to disrupt the meta. Thoughts?
Started playing 6 mnths ago, and today was the first time I tried playing a meta Pult deck. I get it now. It's a jack-of-all-trades kinda deck with fairly high HP and high damage, but the secret sauce of it is that I never brick. I always have options. With other decks, if you brick on T1, ur cooked
Pretty much the title.
I wanted to see what the heck the Pult deck is all about. Every game I play, doesn't matter if I'm going first or second, I always have options. I can do X, I can do Y, I can sometimes even do Z! With so many other decks it's a very narrow path to victory and if Turn 1 bricks or if you get sub-optimal opening hand AND your opponent gets a decent hand, its very hard to recover from it. Maybe its something that a lot of people knew, etc, but to me that was the discovery I made.
Closest comparison I can make the Team Rocket Mewtwo deck, that one also has multiple paths to victory, albeit a bit weaker.
Patrik Räty’s Team rocket box deck
Patrik Räty placed 9th at the recent Los Angeles Regional. My question is: what do you think about his 60? I’ve tried it on Live, but there are some card choices I don’t understand. It feels strange to play without Archer, and I end up preferring the “standard” version of the deck. Am I misunderstanding the deck?
