Laugh at Arsenal all you want but we haven't been serious league contenders since we won with Conte in 16/17

While Arsenal may be bottlers, they have also been competitive in the league for 4 seasons in a row now and have been consistent; we have not been in a title race or a serious end-of-season title contender since Antonio Conte's first season in 2016/17.

While we have seen great success in European competitions, meanwhile, we suck in domestic cup finals, and we have failed to compete for the league.

17/18 5th place

18/19 5th place

19/20 4th place

20/21 4th place

21/22 3rd place (18 pts off the city/pool title race)

22/23 12th place

23/24 6th place

24/25 4th place

With the Clearlake method of buy young idk when we will be competing back at the top. I do think we were building something good with Maresca and believed we should of kept him for a long time, but unfortunately, the relationship with the owners broke. I'm not too sure about the owners, some say they care more about making profits (well, all owners do), so the Champions League may be enough for them.

Really, with the money we spent, we should be competing for the league.
