Pc not turning on!!

I haven’t used my PC in a couple of months and I know there was power here and there because i’d occasionally hit my keyboard and the backlight glows and my mic mute button flashes red. When i tried pressed the power button no signal from the PC but my accessories are all lit up still.

I tried the Unplugging the power supply method as well as reseating the RAM. I disconnected my GPU cable from the GPU and my GPU printed that red light that nothing is connected.

Help i’m just a girl 😓

Turned on my PC and all of a sudden it does this. Help?

I have been using this PC with the two-screen setup for months now. When I went to turn on my PC today, it started doing this. It also bootloops if I leave it like this for too long. Any idea as to what this could be?

Edit: It does work when I have 1 monitor plugged in (Doesn't matter which one. Both work in isolation)

Grey Screen On PC, Troubleshooting Help?

Hi All! I left my pc on for around 3 ish hours and came back to it, I have a screen saver that spins when my pc is asleep.
I noticed my screensaver was frozen in place and clicking didn’t wake my screen up so I turned it off and went to turn it back on, and it went straight into a grey screen.

I have tried:

Power cycling

Turning it off while it is turning on 3 times to attempt to enter advanced options/recovery/safe mode

Disconnecting the hdmi and changing ports, swapping the whole cord itself

Took out CMOS battery waited 10 minutes and put it back in

Went through all the ram sticks and tried one at a time

Is there anything else I can do to troubleshoot? What should my next steps be??

I’m not very PC Build savvy so I’m not sure what the exact parts in my pc are. Hopefully the pictures answer any questions to help you guys maybe help me.

TLDR: pc grey screen after it froze and i reset it, have tried numerous troubleshooting steps. need next steps i should take

EDIT: i know the cables are HORRENDOUS, i bought it built from someone else and it came w the cables like this. I’m too scared to break anything in it so I don’t touch that shi

My new GPU won't turn on and now my PC is dead.

Ok so I got a Gigabyte GA-Z270N-WIFI Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard that had a GeForce gtx 980. Decided to upgrade to a GeForce rtx 5050 and when I tried to install the drivers (after five attempts), screen went black and stayed that way. Could NOT even get past to gigabyte boot up screen before seeing nothing but black. The wattage is good enough. The cables are connected right. When I tried the first time it failed.

Is this just another case of me never being able to have anything good in life?

Getting strange black flickering/artifacting in games on a brand new high-end PC (see screenshot/video). Random black bars/shapes appear on screen during gameplay.

Important detail:
the issue completely disappears when I lower the GPU clocks in MSI Afterburner.

Things I already tried:

  • Fresh Windows reinstall
  • DDU + clean driver installs
  • Multiple NVIDIA drivers
  • Temps are fine
  • Brand new system/all new parts

GPU is an RTX 5070 Ti.

Im still able to use my pc but this pops up every time I turn it on! I just go to f1 -> discard changes and exit -> continue and play games. My fps feels a little diminished as well. Anyone know what is going on?

I've already tried using a rubber band, but I don't have a drill with extraction bits available. (The gpu is an rx6800 triple fan)

My PC keeps turning fully white and crashing, any ideas?

ChatGPT, google, anything won’t tell me any answers and I don’t know what’s going on. Everything seems to be fine, but then this happens, and i have:

Amd ryzen 7600 6 core
Prime b650-plus motherboard
Ram 32
Adata legend 700 disk
And Radeon rx 7700 xt

I don’t know if that helps, I don’t know too much about computers and only really use mine for gaming.

This has been happening for a few months, but it’s been freezing up when in games for about a year.

PC gets bricked after getting into a game

So when i launch into the game everything is fine for the first 2 minutes (give it or take) and them after those few minutes of freedom it starts what I like to call stuttering now this stuttering is basically valorant bricking my pc after it has been launched, BOTH WHILE IN THE GAME AND OUT OF THE GAME (once it has been fully exited) what i call bricking is basically when my entire computer just freezes for a few seconds and then coming back like nothing happened and then doing it again and again i've went through

Full Windows Reinstall (95% via partition because i dont have a usb and i dont feel like buying one lmfao)
Factory Reset
Getting a new PSU
Reseating literally EVERYTHING
Uninstall Reinstall
Bios update
Downloading Drivers
Checking RAM
Safe Mode Boot
Hardware GPU BS everyone keeps telling me to disable when I disabled it from the getgo

Now I do have a few speculations as why this happens but cannot fully prove because im not an expert on these sorts of things but I do think its caused by one of these things

Not enough power to my computer (My room simply just doesnt have enough power directed to it to supply every electronic in here)
Parts being "fried" (RAM or my GPU's VRAM which i HIGHLY doubt)
Some kind of CPU problem

Here are my specs if anyone wants to dig deeper than i have
ASRock AMD RYZEN 5 7600X 6-Core Processor (4.70 GHz)
32.0 GB of RAM (31.1 GB usable)
AMD Radeon RX 7800XT (16GB)
(i DONT know what this is but i'll slap it on here anyways: AMD Radeon(TM) Graphics (486MB)
2TB SAMSUNG SSD PRO
B650 EAGLE AX (from GIGABYTE)

Really REALLY annoying Proplem with pc booting taking AGES (5minutes + 1-2minutes afther log in to windows 11)

So yeah... I WOULD BE SO HAPPY if sombody would know my issue and solve it. I have been trying to solve it nearly half year with out any lucky. It's weird, bec when I got this pc, in like 2022/2023 IT was DAM fast! Like booted ON WINDOWS/DESKTOP just in 18-25 sec. And Like year from today it was still as fast as new... Now it's taking that about 7 minutes to boot....
When I boot my computer now, it's like 7 sec then it comes on "Press F1 or Delete to go bios" and 3sec after that, it shows asus (motherboad logo) and loads few sec. Then it's just black screen... (For 4-5 minutes) and when it finally boots in that time, then I log in and it's GRAY screen for 1-2minutes???
So My Build is:

GPU = 4070 ti super (Gigabyte windforce)

CPU = i7 12700k

Motherboard: TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS WIFI D4
RAM = 32gb ddr4 3600mhz.

ONLY ONE drive/storage and it's SSD (Samsung 2tb 980 PRO)
PSU 850 w some corsair platinium/gold

Tired already these:
Updated all drivers to newest one (Clean install for Gpu drivers)
Updated bios to newest version
Fast boot IS enabled

factory settings on bios

On start up I removed all other than microsoft apps/services from start up and it's still the same...
Memory test = disabled

+ I have fully cleaned my pc from inside 2-4/year.

I Would be so happy if sombody of you guys would know/guess the problem!

Unique PC crashing issues

Howdy, so I've got a bit of a unique problem on my hands that I cannot seem to identify the source of.

For reference, these are my specs

Zotac Twin 3060Ti

Ryzen 5 5600X3D

16GB DDR4 Oloy Warhawk (running at 2133mhz)

Samsung 970 Evo 1TB

Asus B550m

Around a month ago, whilst playing either Roblox or R6 Siege, my entire operating system would just die. No bluescreen, no automatic restart. The audio would cut, then a half second later the game I was playing would freeze, then another 1-2 seconds later windows and my inputs would become entirely unresponsive until I turned my PC off and on again. A small temporary fix was to just perpetually lower the frame rate/resolution of the game but I play siege semi-competitively so eventually that started to become a hinderance.

Eventually I turned off the discord overlay and hardware acceleration and that yielded good results for a few days, but then the issues returned.

A few days later, I got the idea that it could just be my PC overheating (even though GPU and CPU temps never went above 70C) so I decided to crank my GPU fan speeds up to 100% and that solved my issues for a few days too.

Then a few days ago, the issues just came back out of the blue while playing Rust. I considered the possibility that maybe it was the SSD because of a certain quirk before the crashes (disk usage would spike to 100% a few seconds prior with 0 read or write speed), so I went and purchased a heatsink for it. Heatsink did nothing except for making my SSD blend in with my white build a bit more lol. I also got the crackhead idea of just taking the panel off my case and pointing my fan straight into it to no avail.

Now I'm reaching my wits end and feel forced to buy a completely new computer if I can't find a fix here.

I've tried an assortment of things

I've ran chkdsk, I've done a samsung magician erase, got crystal disk info which reports a 98% SSD health. I've tweaked with every BIOS setting imaginable (RAID, UEFI, and undervolting my parts just to name a few off the top of my head, also reverted them back to defaults in case I did something that was working against my computer).

I reinstalled windows numerous times, changed my SSD slot back and forth, I even got two different custom windows forks (AtlasOS and Revolt specifically) but no beans.

The only critical log in EventViewer is a Kernel-Power issue (Event ID 41, Task Category 63), and it only displays that there WAS an error and a system reboot took place

"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."

it only creates the log when I actually turn my computer back on however, its not a log that gets saved prior to the complete freeze.

I'm open to any and all ideas but if I can't find a solution then I'm just gonna bite the moderately expensive bullet and get a new one so here's to hoping someone may be able to recognize or identify my issue.

A couple of month ago I’ve upgraded from a gtx 1650-i3 10100f to Rtx 3060ti-i5 11400f. And its paired with asrock h510m-hvs. I noticed little to no performance upgrade. I’ve ran bench marks and stress tests and my cpu core usage is at about 4.2ghz but after about 30secs it’s drops to 2.5ghz and it keeps fluctuating between those two numbers. In games the clock are even lower between 2.0-1.4 but one core stays higher at about 2.9-2.5. Ive enable all the right setting in the bios and I was thinking to upgrade to a gigabyte b560m aorus elite because of my budget.

Desktop Won’t Turn On

Hi everyone. I hope this is the right flair, but I have a Dell Desktop, which honestly has not been used in a while and is not turning on. The monitor has an orange light which I know is normal. However, I tried powering up the box (not sure the actual name), which would normally display a white light when pressed. It is not turning on. Please advise. Thank you!

quick backstory I guess, recently my laptop kept crashing and eventually not opening anything but bios and a black and grey screen thing with like the critical system died thing and system32 srt txt errors. So I tried using the windows installer by Microsoft, it froze, opened up my laptop and unplugged the battery (probably didn’t do anything) and couldn’t get the ssd out, but after, I tried using my laptops driver from the company and it lasted a bit longer before freezing again after 10-15 minutes or so. That’s pretty much it, my laptop is a AX16 from ACEMAGIC. first time posting on reddit too, so i apologize for messy layout, not gonna fix it though. any tips, for the laptop i mean, not my text layout. ty

This has been happening for about year and half maybe? i do have noisy fans in general but im not sure if this is something i should worry about as i said it done this for like a year and half. it only happens on really cold days (anything below 20c) and will do it non stop unless my pc heats up then the sound goes away and my fans just become normal noisy. i do also have bit dust around my fans which i assumed it maybe was
