concealer tips or recommendations for light warm-neutral olives with serious dark circles?

as you can see in the pic i have some serious lid pigmentation (i’m not wearing any eyeshadow) and also dark circles😭 but every eye concealer either makes me look dead from being so gray or looks crazy orange on me. this could fall under product or technique help but i’d love to know which color correctors you all like and also which concealers and also how any of you with a similar problem address it ❤️ thank you xoxo

A classic for a reason, Syrup

I know I would love Mac Syrup but with this cool toned eye look it comes alive. I bought it recently, it appears just like I assumed a bit vibrant cool toned mauve. Lustreglass finish is forgiving on my chapped lips.

What do you guys think about this look and lipstick?💜🫣

Has any olives (that pull most things orange) tried this? I love this colour and the formula looks nice, afraid of pulling it orange!

ie Hourglass’ Mood Exposure blush is recommended a lot here but it looks orange on me 🥲

YSL Lip Liners

YALL.

Go get these while they’re still discounted at Sephora!! These are invincible! The faded bottom shade is the MUFE extreme lip liner in wherever walnut which did not stand up to the YSL liners! They’ve been on my hand all day, through washing my hands and working:

Top to bottom:

* 106 Spicy Smoke (dusty berry-brown)

* 104 Blushing Nude (actually mauve, similar to MBM Smokey Pink)

* 104 Burning Mauve (it’s not mauve - too warm)

* faded MUFE extreme lip liner in Wherever Walnut

I’ll post comparisons to some of my other liners later when I have more energy. My favorite is Spicy Smoke. It’s so unreasonably pretty. Has anybody else tried these or the other shades? Undressed pink looks really nice too!

I’m light-medium neutral olive. Foundation match is Lisa Eldridge’s foundation in 9.5.

Okay, lipsticks/glosses parade this time! Which shades are better for me?

Hello everyone! Another post from me (product help + swatches) hope you can help!

Thank you so much in advance!

Here we go: the whole list of products, my selfies and swatches are in THE SAME order. With 2 exceptions: one is 2 lip liners - i shot them somewhat afar left one is Kiko Milano 23, next one is Merit lip liner in Carpicorn), second is that the last lip gloss ‘Dirty’ on the right in bottom row is shown in the 14 photo

Merit in Maison shot twice (second one is behind my kitchen counter) I just wanted to show you how rosy in can be. I have 2nd thoughts about it though - it seems too warm for me in some makeup looks.

Merit Cabo is awfully orange - my mum used to call it ‘carrot lipstick’.

Hermes 49 Rose Tamise was a limited edition or something (old gift from a friend).

2 lipsticks and glosses from my local brand (Kristall Minerals). I wear a cool-toned brown gloss with a Merit liner.

Byredo worship her is blotted.

Swatch Request: YSL Make Me Blush in Spicy Berry

Could anybody with light-medium-ish olive skin swatch spicy berry (and any other make me blush shades you’ve got!)? I can only seem to find swatches on very deep skin but I feel like this shade could look really lovely on lighter olive skin. Thanks in advance!

If anybody has a powder blush that matches Phytosurgence Condensate, Wisp or Plume please lmk! I’ve been searching with not much luck so far. Some Asian beauty shades seem promising but most Asian Beauty blushes I’ve bought ended up being extremely sheer and too light for me.

Tired of pink foundations

Over $700 spent the last two weeks trying different shades of different products, have to return all of it because every single time it turns pink on me. I’m about to just start using green color corrector but I didn’t want to do that every time 😭 The struggle. This is what every foundation looks like on me, pulls very pink and it’s even more pink in person. I tan my body but don’t tan my upper neck or face so I’m matching to my lower neck and body (it needs to match my arm because that’s what the rest of my body looks like), not to my face because my face is 10x lighter.

Warm vs Cool Olive Skin - What's the Difference?

I stumbled on this video when I was trying to determine if I'm a warm olive or cool olive. I think im warm because armani luminous silk 6 is a bit cooler than I am and nars stromboli is a bit more yellow.

She also explained well how different clothing shades and saturation levels can flatter different undertones olives.

So many people think to be olive means you suit muted shades in your clothing and makeup but thats not necessarily the case as demonstrated in the video.

Anyway, just thought I'd share this video I enjoyed.

Rare Beauty Encourage vs Rhode Sleepy Girl?

I cannot for the life of me decide on which one to buy. I’m a light medium neutral cool olive. I was previously using Tower 28 Power Hour blush before discovering that Im olive. Curious to know your thoughts! X

Tempted by Westman Atelier Hydrobalm in Cafe Creme - Refuse to spend $50 Alt. product

I refuse to spend $50 on a glorified lip balm. The Westman Atelier hydrobalms look gorgeous, but I've seen some people with my skintone say that cafe creme barely registers on them.

To scratch the itch I bought the Covergirl Clean Lip Color in Bamboo and the Dinto lip tint 219 Ave Maria.

Bamboo looks like what I want cafe creme to look like on my lips. Slightly sheeny neutral cool nude beige color with a brown lip liner it looks great! I also tried Rimmel Light Cappuccino, but on me it reads warmer than Bamboo does.

Missha Perfect Cover BB cream shade help:

I bought shades 21 and 23. Left is 21, middle is 23, right is a mix of the two. Honestly this is the closest I have ever gotten to my shade, this brand truly has grey tones!

Anyways, I’m shade-blind. I thought the first was close, but my friend said the mix matches best.

What do you guys think?

How I found out my perfect pink lip, lilac eyeshadow, and Phytosurgence blush

I had kind of given up on finding a bright pink lip that felt as effortless as my perfect red did, but I recently had an event where I really wanted to find a pink that would work. Before I placed an order, I revisited this video on how to find your perfect red: https://youtu.be/TwO8yzSs1lk?si=is5xu0neSFXxqSMU

Now I know Kackie has some problematic views and things I don’t agree with, but this method and tool has blown my mind. I used it to both find my perfect pink using online images, as well as confirm why my favorite reds are actually coral, find a light lilac eyeshadow that looks beautiful against my eye color, and narrow down my Phytosurgence blush order. I’ve attached some photos that I created using this method to show you - it’s worth watching and trying out yourself in my opinion as it can be applied to just about anything.

Foundations are too yellow on me

So I have an issue of majority of foundations turning absolutely yellow on me, especially MAC NC series looks straight up like I have jaundice, even neutral undertone foundations can also end up looking orange if I do some activity applying makeup. I don’t know if I am olive or not. Shade matches are Estée Lauder 4N2 but can shift orange, NC35 is straight up bad orange, Anastasia Beverly Hills 310C is a good match for me till now but why is everything so yellow? PS: pictures without makeup for your reference

If Lisa Eldridge T9 is my perfect summer shade but pulls too warm in winter (photos included), what foundations should I try for bridal makeup?

First 4 photos are makeup-free, last 5 are with Lisa Eldridge T9 skin tint.

I always thought T9 was my perfect match, but looking back now I think it’s actually too warm on me 🥹 It was perfect when I bought it in the summer, so I’m guessing I lean more muted/neutral olive in winter and slightly warmer in summer when I tan.

I’m getting married soon and planning to do my own makeup, but I’m struggling to figure out what foundations to try without buying dozens and ending up with the wrong undertone again.

I normally just wear skin tints, but now I’m looking for something medium to high coverage with a natural finish, not too matte as I’m not oily at all.

If anyone is a similar depth/undertone (light–medium neutral olive?), I’d love to know what works for you in the foundations / concealers category

I’ve been considering:

* Makeup by Mario SurrealSkin (8N looks like it could work?)

* Armani Luminous Silk 4

* Patrick Ta foundation in 13 Olive

* Lisa Eldridge Seamless Skin Foundation 9

but very open to other suggestions 🫶🏼

For reference:

* Rare Beauty 230N was slightly too dark and pulled yellow/warm on me

* LE T9 evidently pulls warm on me now (but was perfect in summer)

Light olive, warm hair to ashy brown to blend grays — thoughts?

feeling nervous about such a big change! first three photos are now, last photo is before.

Decided to jump the gun yesterday and stop dyeing my gray hair and work with them instead. My hair is naturally quite curly. Curious for some thoughts here!

Another burning up question: is this blush duo from Westman Atelier pull orange on me?

Hey everyone, I know this is my 2 post about blush matter but my sister gave me this palette and said it would be great for me. She bought different duo from WA so basically she doesn’t need the one she gave me.

So far it looks okay but I wanna have this “sun-kissed-just-arrived-from-vacation” look, not “I forgot to wash off my self tanner” look :)

The rest of the makeup is clear brow gel, a little bit of contour and a tinted lip balm.

Thanks everyone in advance for your incredible support and love ❤️

“Olive” marketing in makeup

Hi, recently someone in this sub was asking for product recs like we all do because some of the popular olive tones that are often recommended on here were running a bit peach/warm on them. I commented thinking maybe they were just REALLY olive/green and just needed to add more of a blue pigment into the shade to really make it blend naturally.

However, this had me thinking because sometimes a lot of the popular olive tones in this sub also lean really peachy for me (for example: Tower28 in 9.0 MDR, the Kosas concealers). But I notice these work for some of you. Is this because the products try to be too neutral (and end up leaning pink) and I am slightly too warm for them? I consider myself a true neutral medium olive, so of course I think everything runs orange on me, but I also found that a lot of shades that are marketed as “olive” never are green enough for me. My confusion just lies in the fact that I am pretty neutral and a lot of those shades are just peach on me :( so in my head I’m like “how are these working for all of you??”

Anyone else deal with this?

Wedding Help - Is this blush pulling orange on me?

I really wanted to find a nice gentle blush for my wedding and I was paired with True Harmony at MAC. Can you please let me know if you think this is orangey on me? They always turn out orange, and I’m just not sure anymore - I’m tired and I just want to feel pretty! I’ve been trying to figure out my tone and what colours work for me etc for years and I just can’t. I’m at my wits end and I’m now less than 2 weeks away
