Where can I watch off campus if I don’t have prime???

Sorry. I’m going to say it. I’m on the 7th episode. So if you’ve seen it you understand. But from the very beginning they have more than carried this show. Especially Ella. To feel these strong emotions and to do it all while keeping an American accent is crazy.

I just want to leap in my screen and hug her. I appreciate the care and heart she put into this topic.

And then Belmont? The scene at the Jeep? The scene with his dad? The way he connected the dots… i know the rest of the characters are side and plot B storylines, but those two were perfect for Hannah and Garrett.

I’m just loving this show. I love this cast. I’m happy we have this show. I’m excited for season 2.

literally watching the first episode right now, and these guys effed up big time. What is the story direction?

Can I just say that being on Twitter this week after the AllieDean leaks has genuinely been so exhausting. Left and right I’m seeing the fandom complain about how the show is “ruining allie and dean’s relationship.” It’s totally valid to have concerns when coming into an adaptation, but if you guys would just take a step back, you would be able to see that this is the best thing for allie & dean. I love allie and dean not because of their book but because of the chemistry and loveable qualities in both allie and dean, but I’ve always felt a little disconnected to their relationship because of how lustful their book felt. I always felt that they didn’t have a strong enough emotional connection to balance out their physical connection.

Developing Allie & Dean in s1 - and possibly s2 if allie & dean’s season isn’t until s3 - is the best thing to do for their story because it’s weird to have two parties of the couple in the universe from the beginning and just never have them interact.

When you think about it, this just means that by the time their season rolls along, we’ll have even more from their relationship than we did in the books.

The show is doing the same thing that Elle Kennedy herself did with Brenna & Jake - and honestly should’ve done with Allie & Dean - which is simply developing their story earlier.

Allie & Dean aren’t going to “take over Hannah & Garrett‘s season” because AllieDean’s story likely won’t have more than 30 minutes of screen time.

Hannah & Garret won’t have to “split their season” because again, this is just setting up development for Allie & Dean’s season.

The creator, Louisa, already said that once their seasons are over, the couples aren’t going anywhere. So even after s1 we’ll still see Hannah & Garrett and have arcs for their relationship because this is shows work!!

Everyone has a right to their concerns for the adaptation, trust me I get it, I’ve loved these books since I was in high school. But when you complain and nitpick everything it makes stuff unenjoyable for other people.

Stop complaining, have some patience, and wait until the show comes out before you judge.

Sorry if I've missed this, but does anyone know the release schedule for season 1? Will we get all the episodes this week, or just one per week, or something in between (like Bridgerton)?

I saw this interesting post: https://www.reddit.com/r/RomanceBooks/s/F3KMjpWslz from a few years ago in the RomanceBooks sub-reddit - do you think we’ll see the major homoeroticism between Garrett and Logan reflected in the TV show? The core of the book series is about the bond and relationship between all the boys, so I’m most excited about seeing that.

Idk about you guys, but i feel like this show is going to be emotionally harder than other shows. Because we have seen so much from the cast. We know their bond off screen is so strong and solid. Like especially Ella and Belmont. Their friendship off camera is so strong and so close that i feel like we are going to see some truth to their emotional scenes.

If you want to see some really good “this is our Hannah Wells” acting, go watch the final episode of Malory Towers. Ella’s acting in that show is so good. Her anger. Her happiness. Her sadness. There’s parts where she is talking as Darrell saying goodbye to other characters and you can hear the pull in her voice that you can’t replicate. This girl is about to destroy all of us. If an 11-16 year old girl in a kids show can make me an adult get teary eyed… yeah. We’re cooked.

So I’m super exited for the show. Our tvs are long overdue for a young adult romance. I actually read the deal over a year ago but just catching up on the rest of the series. Just finished the score and I have a question about the rest of the series…

Love tucker, but for some reason that’s the story I’m least looking forward to. Since his story also involves a baby, I’m worried the other guys aren’t present as much. For example I loved the amount of time garret and Hannah were in the score. But unfortunately grace disappeared. What should be my expectation for book 4? No spoilers please

Then what should my expectations but for book 5, the legacy? Is it more of seeing each couple individually or do we see them interact more as a group? I’m a sucker for girlhood scenes! I hope the tv show does Hannah and Allie friendship justice.

Now, beyond off campus… can I skip the briar u books? I’m at the moment just interested in following the main character as already know… do these books have any cameos? I know there are two books about the original groups kids (and a third on the way?) so I’m excited to jump into those!

I remember seeing so much fanfare leading up to Heated Rivalry. I’m barely seeing anything close to that for Off Campus 😢

And when Heated Rivalry did premiere, it became a global phenomenon. Everyone was watching it in droves: straight women, gay men, gay women, straight men.

At the hospital I work at, almost all my co-workers (men included) were discussing the show.

I just get the feeling Off Campus will be nowhere near that acclaimed and popular. Hope I’m wrong.

I’m getting so excited for next weeks premiere of the series but what are we watching in the meantime? I need something to fill this void!!! Help!
