Some shots from a rainy day during the last homestand
He was well-hidden. It was really tough to see him much less get a decent photo! His eye freak me out - it looks like human eyes in an owl mask.
Some of my favorite recent shots.
Shot on the OM1 and OM3 with a few different OM lenses.
Curious bird in Palm Springs, CA today
OM-5 with 40-145mm "plastic fantastic" lens
Weather was forecasting clouds for the night of the full moon, so this is the night before with clearer skies. Tested my 2x teleconverter, and sooc ended up quite soft at 400mm. Bumped the clarity, sharpness, and some other settings in Pixelmator.
Are we expecting the TG-8 anytime soon?
I'm sailing in July and Scuba Diving in August, really torn on whether to bite the bullet on the TG-7 or hold out? I get the impression the former is already a really good camera, but if the TG-8 will release imminently then I may as well wait.
I'm getting back into photography after a long, long hiatus and am building out a system for macro among other things. I'm looking at picking up an OM 1 mkII and the 90mm macro lens to start.
I've been a lifelong Canon guy. So I'm lost on OM and OM flashes. Should I go with a Godox V1 or the V860IIIO, or something else entirely. The flash will be for macro shots and am thinking I'll use it with a Cygnustech Macro Diffuser.
What's the best flash purchase here?
I was out in the yard this morning having a closer look at one of our grevilleas. This one’s called Peaches and Cream.
What caught my eye were the tiny hair-like textures along the curls of the flower. You don’t really notice them until you stop and look properly.
So I thought I’d try and photograph it… just to see if I could capture that fine detail.
I reckon I got pretty close with my M.Zuiko 12-45mm f/4 PRO.
I used focus stacking - my first attempt - a macro lens is a little out of my budget at the moment.
Might have to start taking this a bit more seriously 😄
I use an inverted tripod a lot for macro photos and have heard the OM5ii has a pretty easily breakable tripod mount, so holding the weight of the camera is likely not great.. anyone have tips to protect the mount while using it on tripods? I use tripods lots and didn't realize this until after purchase, but love the camera!
This little camera still impresses me years later. Come on @omsystems let's see a TG8 with a bigger sensor.
