(Just letting y'all to know: one of my parents are Turkish Cypriot, and i know these things well.) You really think that you'll be allied with greeks? You think that it will be cute if you act friendly against greeks? Ok i accept, your idea looks logical; Unition of cyprus and creating a federal government with justice and equality etc. But you know what? The idea that you saying about actually happened in real life, not much ago, wanna learn how it ended with?;

Genocide commited by greeks and subsequent The Necesary Turkish Cyprus invasion 1974. I'm not trying to divide greeks and turks. Just reminding you the past. But no problem right? Past is past, yeah.

They seem to go unhinged whenever they find out we disagree with them on anything. Saying shit like we're ungrateful, we should've been genocided by the GCs, they conquered us so they can do what they want.

Are we not allowed to disagree with the actions of the AKP/mainland Turks that move here? Are we just expected to accept everything for all eternity?

They seem to go full mask off whenever we dare talk back. Why are they like this? Is it jealousy? Do they not like the fact that we don't worship the ground they walk on? Is it education? What are they actually taught about us?

They all fail to realise that we can both like and dislike aspects of GCs and Mainland Turks. Just because we disagree with their actions doesn't been we're bending to the whim of the GCs. We're allowed to put ourselves first even if it's a negative impact on Turkey.

Cyprus

The northern side of Cyprus that is currently used as a military base and a puppet state by Turkish troops. We as Turkish Cypriots do not want to be puppets of Turkey. Our dream is a United Federal Cyprus with political equality where the two communities of the island can shape their future together!

so, i'm a turk (but god unfortunately picked my spawn point here for no reason at all) but i'm incredibly aware of the current situation here on this part of the occupied area that has been neglected for too long..

turkey should have no say in how to rule this country. Basically what i mean is, a united cyprus will function better than what we have now..

cuba was basically a us tourist destination right on the heel of florida where you could go and have your little vacation (exactly why turkey keeps this side occupied btw..)

(i'll make a follow up post later that's all i have in my mind)
