I’m extremely embarrassed

EDIT: due to the amount of hate iv received in my DMs, deleting as what started as a fun light hearted story quickly showed me how shitty the internet could be.

For all of you that shared the laughs with me over this, provided real advise, etc. thank you - that’s the interaction I was hoping for.

At this point we will see if I hop on again.

Be safe everyone!

Whats happening with the clutch cable and lever?

Got 2024 ninja 500, wanted to adjust clutch lever but I can not move the lugnut at all, even with pliars, also the cable comes out and moves in with some force. Is this fine or should I try to lube the lugnut, open and adjust the cable? I am pretty new to all of this so thanks a lot for any answers

First road trip

After having my Ninja a year I finally went on a 3 day road trip in southern Western Australia. Honestly bike went beyond my expectations. Seriously had made me think why would need a bigger bike. Sat on speed no problem and was still comfortable after 3 days. At 56 this bike does everything I need. Just if yoshimura slip on wasn’t over $1000. Good times 🟢

Anybody have a good place to order aftermarket decals from? Just looking for the ninja logo in white for both sides I think

How much can I ask for? Look

It's a 2025 Ninja 500 with less than 3k miles. I was in a minor accident about a year ago and broke the headlight and the front fairing. The engine didn't touch the ground and doesn't have any problems. Trying to sell it because I'm joining the military and don't want to risk getting hurt at the moment

I have been looking at bikes for a month now. When I was at the dealership I fell in love with the Kawasaki Ninja 500 ABS in the lime green. I am seeing if there are any "hidden" fees. I have delt with car dealers and I know they tend to hike the price up. Any advice would be helpful!

Small update:

  • on the estimate it does show $0.00 down only because I wanted to see the OTD price of the bike. My goal is to put more than half - fully pay for it when and if I get the bike.

  • I have been looking on Facebook marketplace, just a wider distance away. I have found a few sport bikes that I am interested in for half the price.

Vinyl matched color?

Hey all,

Looking to do some custom vinyl work to modify the graphics a bit. My question is on color matching... Any idea how to get a close match to the Kawasaki "Metallic Yellowish Green"?

I found paint codes, but no luck on vinyl.

Thanks!

Ninja 500oil

Please tell me I'm crazy and this is not red fluid in my oil window. Shouldn't it be brownish / gold?

Clutch failure

Has anyone had problems with Clutch failing to fully engage? I have a 2026 Ninja 500. About 700 miles on it. Did the initial service at the dealership yesterday. Today the clutch failed while my son was riding. Happened suddenly, then it would partially engage. He tried to limp it down the road to where he could pull off. Now it won't engage at all. You can feel it almost engaged right as the lever is fully released. We checked the cable, it's fine. The problem is inside the clutch. Has anyone else had similar problems? Did a spring break, and then he burnt out the plates trying to limp it along?

2026 Ninja 500 SE

Since taking this picture during my lunch I already removed the front reflectors and rear fender.

Next is the tail light and front turning signals.

Breaking it in properly is so difficult, 😂

Anyone know where this goes?

Was washing my bike and then saw this on the ground under the kickstand area. It’s a rubber piece. I’m not even 100% it came from my bike, it could have already been in my driveway but figured I’d ask here

The 500 is my next step

I always knew as a kid that I loved bikes, I was always on one since my dad taught me how to ride in the parking lot of his shop. I would race my sister on her bike as kids, ride it to school every day, ride all over town and then race other kids while in school.

It was only a matter of time before I started talking about street bikes, at first it really started when I attached a two stroke engine to a mountain bike and got my first taste of more powerful bikes. Of course my parents absolutely hated the idea of me on a sport bike so their alternative was dirtbikes which i absolutely loved!

I borred an old honda 150 from a friend and joined my dads buddies at a local spot for riding and with some struggle I eventually learned how to ride and it was amazing. It was perfect for my family, something my dad and I could do together and get out of the house whioe my mom collected rocks and enjoyed the scenery.

Eventually I got a yamaha yzf250r as my own bike and learned how to do the maintenance myself while learning how to handle a more powerful bike. But after 5 years of riding the urge to ride on the street was getting harder to ignore.

After finally convincing my parents to be less upset about me owning a sport bike I watched facebook marketplace like a hawk. I almost settled on buying an R3 as a first bike for $5k but then a new listing showed up for a 2024 ninja 500 just 15 minutes from my house. I talked the seller down to $4850 and from there I couldnt get off of it. I would find every excuse to take my bike instead of my truck.

Now im much more comfortable on the street and how to handle a bigger bike at speeds but still have lots to work on in terms of skill and technique. I want to take my bike to the track before I upgrade then we'll see where my journey takes me.

If you have any uograde suggestions id love to hear them. Im currently looking at an R7, Aprilia rs 660, Zx6r, gsxr 600/750

Anyone know why some images of the yellowish-green have more color than others? The one I'm picking up is lacking the side panel in green, it is black like the right image

Curious if Kawasaki changed their minds after shipping an initial set, or what. I'd have loved the more green but I'm just curious why that is at this point. Is it an ABS or SE thing? Not that I can tell but maybe? The images on their website don't match what dealerships have posted either! The fronts appear the same but the side fairings are a bit off.

kawi website, notice the green in the middle, mostly matches what i'm getting minus the middle green piece.

the one i'm picking up, green only on the very bottom and on the tank, notice the silver accents on the bottom stripe decal and pointy bit above the \"Ninja\" decal

the most green i've seen, dealer on google images and someone posted asking about this color here 5mo ago that matches this amount of green! black and green, no silver other than exhaust and hardware.

I got run off the road a couple weeks ago and now that i’m better i’m trying to determine the damage. Does anyone know wha this module is? That and the code for the brackets for exhaust hang and brake pedals! Also do you think it would be “safe” to ride it down to the shop? It’s only 4 miles away with highest legal road speed of 45 mph. I’m skilled with only using the front brake but not knowing wha that module controls is killing any confidence i have in riding it anywhere. I don’t want to make things worse.

I’m trying to get everything together before i send it to the shop for fixes because it’ll make it better for me in the long run. I want them to look it over and make sure it’s not too bad but i low side slide at around 15 mph. I took more damage than the bike tbh.

Thank you in advance!
