Anyone still struggling to find an internship in SG?

Hello all! We're a group of TP alumni who just released something we figured we'd share here. During internship season, we noticed a pretty big gap in how students find internships.

Every semester, its the same routine. Jump between Glassdoor, LinkedIn, JobStreet, MyCareersFuture, or whatever other job sites you bookmarked. Half the job listings are already expired, you spend more time searching than actually applying.

What we brainstormed is a tool that can pool all the listings from every major Singapore job portal into one single feed. Updates itself every hour in the background. Eliminate the need of jumping through 10 different websites, access to fresh out the oven job listings, all in one place.

It has been a few weeks since we've officially launched, but we've been getting some good traction. Ngee Ann Polytechnic listed us on their careers page https://oic.np.edu.sg/vacation-internship and we're looking to further our outreach to help even more students struggling to find internships. 😊

Everything's free! But if you do check it out, would love to hear what you think!

I hate Examenia so much

Do you guys actually think that moving from pen & paper to online Examenia was a good move? I was just told that my course has implemented Examenia for all our common test and final exam wtf

Serious question, do you guys actually like using Examenia for exams…

As I prepare for my graduation from NP this week, I just wish to share a golden rule with the NP freshies and current students to help you survive and excel.

Please bear in mind this Golden Rule throughout your 3 years in NP :

Not everyone you meet in class will become your friend and that’s okay. Learn to respect your classmates and treat them as working partners.

Be prepared to work together with anyone assigned to your group, even if you don’t click with them or don't consider them your friends. In the end, what truly matters is completing your assignments well and maintaining a strong GPA.

Remember : Your goal is NOT to seek friendship, BUT to work hard with your group mates and achieve a good GPA!

When you step into the working world in future, the same applies. Not everyone you meet will be your friend, but you’ll still need to work together.

Treat your poly years as a training ground. Get to know your classmates through working assignments with them. Some of the best friendships are built this way. We'll only know our classmates deeper after we worked together with them. That's when we see their True Colour : Who are the truly reliable, hardworking and loyal ones...

After 3 years, some people you thought were close friends may drift away. But your results and achievements will stay with you, as they will open doors to university and future opportunities.

Stay focused, stay respectful, be open minded, don't judge, and do your best!

GPA for DWM?

To the graduates of Ngee Ann Polytechnic, congratulations on reaching this milestone!! 🥳

Now that the graduation ceremony for the School of Engineering is over, I’m really curious what GPA is roughly needed to receive a Diploma with Merit! I’m currently studying ECE, so I’d love to know what GPA I should aim to maintain to graduate with a merit 😬

If you’re from other schools and courses, feel free to share your accomplishments too, whether it’s your own GPA, DWM, or someone you know!

hi, I need some help regarding my computer loan.
I’ve had this loan showing in my DBS account under liabilities for quite some time now (around -$1379), but there isn’t any clear info on how to repay it.
I’m currently in Year 3 and I want to start paying it back, maybe around $100 per month, but I’m not sure:
whether I’m allowed to pay in small amounts like that

and how exactly to make the payment (GIRO, bank transfer, or through a portal)

Has anyone dealt with this before or knows how the repayment works?
Thanks in advance!
