Finally got my dream car

I’ve wanted a beetle since I was a kid. And today I finally bought a 2013 2.5L with 80k miles! Definitely have same buyers remorse as someone who lives very frugally and doesn’t like spending money AT ALL. Once I get adjusted though it’ll feel normal again.

I get attached to cars so I’m definitely missing my old one but it was time. Just graduated uni and letting this be a gift to myself.
Also- anyone have advice on how to operate the keyless entry? Pressing and holding the handle brings all windows down, but I can’t figure out how to roll back up without getting inside the car, starting it, and rolling up the windows again. Thanks for reading my little speech! ❤️❤️glad to be part of the club!

Need help with a few things in my new beetle!

Hello! I recently bought a new 2001 beetle off of facebook marketplace, it’s in decently rough shape, but the thing that stood out the most were the rear struts on the trunk not holding the trunk up, and the interior door handles being snapped off. I fixed the trunk issue with new struts for around $40, but I can’t figure out the handles. I love my car to bits, but I don’t know how to fix it. Any help is appreciated. Thank you

help figuring out what parts to get for 2005 new beetle

Just got a 2005 VW New Beetle as a gift and I know nothing about cars lol

I just want to fix it up a little and trying to figure out what interior/door parts I actually need before I start buying stuff

Current issues:

* Passenger door only opens from the inside

* Driver side window falls into the door and the button doesn’t work

* Interior pull handles are broken/cracked

* Red interior trim pieces are cracked

* Headliner is sagging a little

any advice would be great :)

I have a 2004 Volkswagen Beetle convertible with a 6-speed automatic. It has a 2.0L engine. The engine code is BGD. I'm trying to buy the right side motor mount but every single one I get has a smaller bolt hole. I checked FCP and ECS but I want to be sure before I order it since I already ordered two that were not the correct size.

I’ve had my 03 beetle for a year now and haven’t had a problem with it the top. Suddenly these bits (see picture) won’t go down when I put the top down? And it takes several tries of turning the car on and off to put the top back up. What’s the issue?

I’ve tried rolling the windows up and down and turning the car on and off. Every time I hold the button after it gets to the place in the picture I hear a click coming from the driver side but nothing happens.

Painting the bumper didn’t turn out as well as I had hoped but I guess it’s not terrible. I haven’t tried wet sanding or running the polisher over it yet.

The yellow flower beetle donated the engine for this car and after chasing some electrical gremlins it’s running like a top.

A bad fuse had 6 sensors giving erratic signals and kept the car in open-loop mode. Then the transmission was in limp mode, had bad G68 & G38 sensors. Swapped sensors over from a spare transmission I have and the codes cleared. Locked the trans into sport mode using VCDS and now it’s a fun drive!

Waiting for the title to come, look for it on Market Place if you’re interested in buying.

What are these holes for?

Was looking to take out my back seats (2013 Model) But am having trouble finding tutorials online. Are they for taking out the rear panels?

Most people say vinyl or some kind of spray paint, but nobody is being specific. It's also hard to find a matching color since my beetle is light green.

I am trying to find this but all the ones in the junk yard are different. I have a BGD engine in it.

Anyone know what the part is called? Or part number? Etc?

Wife has a 2019 beetle final edition sel that has that ambient lighting feature on both door panels / door speakers.

Passenger side hasn’t been working in years.. assumed it was disconnected after some body work due to hail. So tonight I took the panel off, found of this is a transparent hard clear plastic rather than a led strip and the plastic is snapped off near the top by the connector.

Looks like it’s connected to the door panel itself so I assume I need to find an intact spare part.. thought I am curious about just filling a tube with water and hooking it back into the led… super ass backwards way of getting a simple color and they for sure completely over complicated this..
