NetForge - a Netrunner Deckbuilder and Companion app on Android and now also iOS

A few months back I started building NetForge for me and my friends. At first it was just a deck builder and card browser. Later on I added a deck stats close to the one on nrdb. Then came the nrdb integration, resource tracking and the turn/run timing structure.

After some time I thought others would like it as well, so I released it to the play store. Then I got some requests to release it on iOS as well, so I did 😄

If you find any bugs or have feature requests, feel free to hit me up. Some people did and it really helped the app get better.

I hope you like it! If you do, consider donating on the web page, as it would mitigate my costs of being able to release.

Do we know why Keiko is recolored on remastered Hoshiko?

Long story short I (finally) got around to replacing my old prints with the remastered sets today. I knew that plenty of card arts would look different due to framing changes, but this Hoshiko difference piqued my curiosity.

Side-by-side

I tried to track down an "official" reason behind this change and couldn't find anything. Is there one?
I could understand if the blue was removed to match the art in Keiko, but this is too orange. Plus the eyes should've stayed blue regardless to match.

Hi everyone! :)

I’d like to hear your suggestions on how to teach Netrunner to a young child. He is not new to board games, but Netrunner is probably a jump in difficulty. I do believe though that with my help he’ll be able to grasp most of the rules and enjoy it.

Another challenge is that English is not his native language (though this is also a good opportunity for him to practice). So much of the game will rely on memorizing what the cards do. Luckily, there’s no need to remember every small detail, since a lot of the information is numerical (for example: “take X meat damage” or “gain X credits”).

I think the first Decks we should use are from System Gateway. It has a small deck and only 6 agenda points, which means it won’t be too tiring and won’t include too many cards.

I was wondering how you teach the game (if you’ve done so) to children based on your experience, and which decks you used early/modified which rules to keep things simple so they can focus on the rules and mechanics rather than complex card combinations.

Come play Netrunner online at InvictaGC.com

After a couple false starts, I have settled into how we're going to build the InvictaGC.com community.

Netrunner players can join our casual Challenge League (which already has 2-3 active players). To play in the Netrunner CL, sign-up on InvictaGC.com, and join the league. Then issue a challenge to another player. Once the challenge has been accepted, schedule a time to play. After the match, submit the results, and the standings are updated automatically.

If you would like to play on webcam, that's awesome, too. We have plenty of video chat channels that you and your friend can jump into to play paper online.

Visit us at http://www.invictagc.com & http://www.invictagc.com/discord.

With new players, I try to find a way to describe the game in as susinct a way as possible.

I've gotten value out of saying "This is a card counting game". I feel it helps the player really hone a mentality that drives them forward with any plays they make.

Startup strategy content ?

Hello everyone,

I started to play NSG Netrunner a few months ago (I did already play the game at the Android LCG version) and we decide to focus on Startup to begin.

I want now to improve my skills and I find difficult to find strategy content adapted to Startup.

What are the good places to find something like that?

Thanks a lot for your help :)

Any pointers on how to make the poker chip click counters? I’ve seen them before but was wasn't sure how to make them. Print out the images on sticker paper maybe?

I've been living vicariously through this subreddit for awhile now. I've always been a huge fan of the game thematically, being a massive sci-fi and horror nerd. 25 years of MTG experience has left something to be desired - and I have finally decided to pull the trigger on Netrunner.

I would like a complete collection of legally used cards for the most played formats. I am a deckbuilder at heart and want all options in front of me when building and learning a game.

My question is this: What do I need for a full legal collection of cards? How many core sets do I need, and which core sets do I want? What expansions do I need?

And lastly, who is willing to sell me a complete set of everything? I have $1,200.00 USD budget but willing to expand that number to make this happen in a single purchase.

I love Netrunner and Cyberpunk 2077 so I decided to use the Tarot Cards to make few alternative arts. I made Carmen and Unity (using The World tarot card) but have no idea yet on which other cards to make it using https://cyberpunk.fandom.com/wiki/Tarot_Cards . Would u mind help me decided which netrunner cards I could do with the rest of tarot cards?

Hello everyone. First of all, thank you for your time. The other day, a friend and I decided to quickly print out some decks and have a few games, and we ended up playing seven in a row.

The decks we tried are as follows:

We’re now looking to put together a more stable set of decks. What we’re after is:

- Solid decks

- Not overly competitive

- A good variety

When you filter by ‘Standard’ on Netrunnerdb, is that more or less what I’m looking for?

https://netrunnerdb.com/en/decklists/find?faction=&sort=popularity&rotation_id=&author=&title=&is_legal=&mwl_code=&packs%5B%5D=vp&packs%5B%5D=elev&packs%5B%5D=sg

And the question:

We were looking at the ‘Propeller’ card and, if we’ve understood it correctly, for 1 cost you get a Program with 8 strength? Each counter is +2 and it starts with 4
