Hypnokhar and his legions !

So yeah, finally got round to painting the man (metal man ?) Himself.
Never working with that finecast resin crap again 😂 what a nightmare !
I hope he gets the ol' update treatment soon, he really needs it and we all want it. Let's be honest.

Side note: I used GSW's colour shift metal paint on his cloak, let me know if the shift in hues are visible to you. I've been staring at him for too long haha

I’m aware he blends into the terrain on the base a bit (my whole Necron army is stone themed) but I’m ok with that.

Last unit in a army commission I did for a friend. Very happy with both him and The Silent King as the big boss models 🙂

Updated my new Necron colour scheme to have full jade faces, to resemble a jewel nestled within an ornament (and also to stop people comparing it to Aang lol). I'm quite happy with how it came out, even if the technomancers staff got all janky as I changed my mind after painting it and had to repaint... Meaning too many layers eek.

Hello people of this subreddit. (And sorry if english bad)

I've been doing 40k for I think a bit under 2 years now and was thinking of starting Necrons. After looking at all the detachemnts and researching what different kinds of themes you can do for your Necron army I ended up choosing Cursed legion. I overall like the idea of destroyer cults just wanting to annihilate all life, as opposed to regular Necron dynasties motivations, that are way too complicated for me.

Anyway even though I'm somewhat familiar with some Necrons units, I'm still strugling with tryna figure out how to make an actually good competetive list, while still keeping on the theme of the army.

Basically I'm going against a sister of battle player tomorrow at WH World for a sorta tournament thing get together. Im playing necrons and with my main piece being the Void Dragon (my only C'tan shard) and it would be decent against Canis Rex, since its a vehicle. Im scared that as soon as the Canis Rex gets a hold of the Void Dragon and kills it ill be fucked for the rest of the game. Ofc i have some stuff that does good damage and can bring Canis down in wounds but im afraid it wont be enough. If there is anyone who can help me win this game that would be amazing bc I kinda wanna win this one more than alot of other games ive played.

I’m very happy with how these rascals turned out!! Need to go slower though, it’s always my problem I start rushing towards the last few models.
