India has introduced new updates to OCI rules, and the process is now fully digital.

Key changes:

  • OCI application & renunciation is now 100% online
  • Introduction of e-OCI (digital OCI instead of a physical card)
  • No dual passport allowed for minors (must choose one nationality)
  • Applicants now have the right to appeal if their application is rejected

The goal seems to be faster processing and better security, but it also adds stricter compliance.

What are your thoughts on these changes? Do you see this as a positive move or more complications for OCI applicants?
