Saunas in Gyms

Hi,

Are saunas in the Gym facilities also same-sex saunas? Or are they separated by sex?

Honestly I do not feel comfortable sharing it with the opposite sex so I would like to know

Interested specially in Body+Soul Nord and Fitness First Moosach (the on near OEZ).

Thanks!

Rennrad Regattastrecke

Hallo zusammen,

Lost Engagement Ring at Munich Airport T2 (Gate G70 / Women’s Bathroom) on April 3 - Any Advice?

Hi everyone, hoping for some advice or maybe a miracle.

I lost my engagement ring at Munich Airport Terminal 2 while traveling to Graz on Air Dolomiti on April 3rd around 11:30 AM.

I know for certain I lost it in the women’s bathroom near Gate G70 in Terminal 2. I realized almost immediately and ran back within about 5 minutes, but it was already gone.

Before anyone says it - I know how stupid this was, and trust me, I’ve replayed it enough already. I’m posting because I’m heartbroken and hoping for useful advice, not judgment.

When I got back, a cleaning lady was there but said she hadn’t seen anything. I obviously can’t accuse anyone, and it may have already been picked up by another traveler or handed in elsewhere.

So far I’ve:

- Contacted Munich Airport Lost & Found

- Filed a lost item report

- Contacted the Lufthansa Service Center (since Terminal 2 operations are connected with Lufthansa Group)

Does anyone know:

- If airport cleaning staff sometimes hand valuables in later?

- Whether gate staff/security sometimes keep found items separately?

- Any other Munich Airport contacts I should try?

- Has anyone ever recovered jewelry there after some time?

It means a lot to me sentimentally, so any helpful tips or experiences would be hugely appreciated. Thank you.

U3/U6 closure starting in May 2026 until August 2027

As you might have heard, the Poccistraße and Goetheplatz stations will be undergoing major renovations starting May 18th. This means yet another endless closure for both the U3 and U6 lines.

What are your thoughts on this? And more importantly: what’s the fastest way to get to Marienplatz now?

I’m honestly struggling to accept that I’ll probably be losing an extra hour of my life every single day for months, thanks to the MVG (I’m commuting from Fürstenried West).

M-net fiber delay (50+ days, no service)

I signed a fiber internet contract with M-net in Munich on March 1. Since then, I’ve had no service installed and no technician appointment scheduled after ~50 days.

On April 1, I set a written deadline asking them to schedule installation or at least provide an update by April 7. That deadline passed without any concrete progress.

I then informed them that I consider the contract terminated due to non-performance, since no service has been provided and no installation date was ever confirmed.

Instead of addressing that, M-net:

  • keeps referring to the 14-day withdrawal period (which isn’t what I’m using),
  • claims their subcontractor (Cofibra) tried to call me (no voicemail or clear record),
  • and says Cofibra will “contact me again” to arrange installation.

At this point:

  • I still have no internet service from M-net
  • I have a Vodafone DSL installation scheduled in ~10 days as a backup
  • I don’t want to continue coordinating installation with M-net/Cofibra

What confuses me most is:

  • Why am I expected to coordinate directly with a subcontractor at all?
  • Has anyone else in Munich had similar delays with M-net fiber or Cofibra?
  • Am I supposed to sign with another internet provider until M-net decided they’re ready?

Would really appreciate hearing how others handled this situation and what actually worked to move things forward (or close it out).

Wo kann ich eine Roseneinheit kaufen?

Hallo!

Looking for a friend

Hello. 29M here. Recently moved to Germany. Had to relocate here cuz of my work..

Been here for little over a month now and it has not been easy trying to learn about a new country and getting to know the culture..

Looking for a friend here.. im an introvert and a gamer with social anxiety.. but decided to get out of my comfort zone when I moved in. It would be nice to have some friend here..

I just visited the spring festival today and it was not fun being there alone.. ended up returning home without getting on in any of the rides.

Im an open minded person and a good listener. Feel free to drop me a message.

Trying to sell my sofa but no luck, moving out in a week, what to do?

Hi fellow Müncheners, I’m moving out of my current flat and hence have to sell my beloved sofa. So far, I have had no luck on eBay and FB marketplace and time is running out & I unfortunately cannot take it with me. My question is, is there any other market place I can try my luck at? and if in case it doesn’t get sold, can I go about donating it?

Vielen Dank und ein schönes Wochenende!

What happened to Shoya?

Shoya was a Japanese Restaurant in Munich with 3 locations in the city. I met them at Japan Fest 2017 and immediately fell in love. They had Takoyaki, amazing curry, unagi, wagyu, just beautiful.

A few years later I went to the restaurant at Platzl and wanted to cry. There were no more Japanese working there, the quality of the food was so bad and the service was a desaster (turned off music 3 hours before closing time, forgot starters, reacted extremely unfriendly when we asked for our order). Afterwards I posted a review on google that got deleted by the owner, because I claimed they sold the place to Vietnamese (which I looked up at Northdata before). Now their website doesn't even have an imprint anymore to look who owns the business.

To be clear: I love Vietnamese people and their cuisine! But it seems the new shoya owners don't want anyone to know about their background. I guess because they still advertise with authentic japanese food at shoya. Which unfortunately isn't the case. I just wish they would have been open about the rebranding and didn't fight with their customers about their reviews. I want to trust the people I go to for eating. And I miss the old Shoya.

Does anyone have similar experiences with Shoya? And recommendations for an alternative in Munich?

[Spotted] Looking for a guy with a beautiful reddish-brown dog (RB57 train / Donnersbergerbrücke)

Hi everyone, I’m trying my luck here because I had a "missed connection" yesterday (Saturday 19.04) and I’d love to find this person.

I was on the RB57 train coming back from Tegernsee to Munich around 18:30. I’m looking for a guy, roughly 30-35 years old, tall, with green eyes. He was traveling with a stunning Irish Setter (not 100% sure about the breed).

He got off at Donnersbergerbrücke and we had some intense eye contact (he even winked! 😉). I was there with my brother and a friend, so I didn't get the chance to say anything, and now I totally regret it.

If you are this guy, or if you know someone in the Arnulfpark/Westend area who fits this description and owns an Irish Setter, I’d love to get in touch! Or if you have any tips on where else I could post this (local groups, etc.), please let me know.

I don't have Instagram, so Reddit or Jodel are my only hopes! Thanks a lot for the help! ✨
