TT Isle Of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 - your experiences

Guys,

As I recently re-found my love in MotoGP games, I saw TT Isle of Man: Ride on the Edge 3 now in sale on PS Store. Is this game worth it? I see a huge difference in reviews - some saying it's an outdated game, too difficult and so on, but others say it's great and amazing.

What do you think guys? Is this game worth it? Is it playable for someone not that good in motogp games? Is it totally different than other moto games?

Please let me know!

MotoGP 26 has the best physics in the series (coming from a MotoGP 24 player)

I’ve played every MotoGP game since 19, but the one I spent the most time on was MotoGP 24.

For me, what makes a good MotoGP game is simple: physics + decent AI.

MotoGP 24 had almost everything:

•	great controller feedback

•	very convincing physics

MotoGP 25 was honestly a huge disappointment for me.

The physics felt unrealistic and the controller feedback was way worse compared to 24.

So about MotoGP 26…

I actually think this might be the best physics we’ve ever had in the series, and I know that might be an unpopular opinion.

Braking

Contrary to what I’ve read, braking feels really well balanced.

You can brake very hard as long as the bike is upright, and then release progressively as you lean, which feels natural.

•	Rear brake works well

•	Less punishing than in 24

•	You can lose the front with no warning if:

•	you’re off line (dirty track)

•	or you brake too much while leaning

Honestly, that feels pretty realistic compared to real MotoGP crashes.

Corner Entry

This is where the game really shines for me.

When you release the brakes, you can feel the bike rotate or stop sliding naturally.

That’s something I struggled to control properly in 24.

The lines feel more natural than in 25.

Acceleration

Probably the easiest part.

Once you’re in the right line, the bike is very stable.

Some people might not like it, but I think it fits the overall balance.

Overall feeling

Bike control feels very precise and gives you more freedom, as long as you’re not riding aggressively without control.

AI

The AI is quite aggressive right now, but not completely broken.

I think:

•	finding the right difficulty is key

•	and not riding “on rails” makes a big difference

My setup

•	Pro physics

•	No assists

•	100% races

I’m not a top player at all, but for me, MotoGP 26 is the best game in the series so far.

What do you think?

What’s your experience with MotoGP 26 so far?

Do you prefer it over 24, or do you think it’s a step back?

Red Flag 🚩🤣

I think someone just dropped a bit of oil on turn 6 😂
My first ever red flag on a MotoGp game, that was unexpectedly fun.

Everyone OK from what I heard post race.

Speed of AI

Am I the only one that is struggling a lot with AI traction and top speed in career mode? It’s like I’m riding a Moto2 cause they give me at least 2 tenths after each corner on the exit

Moto GP 26 in Steam Deck?

Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone has had a chance to try out the new MotoGP 26 on the Steam Deck. Do you think it’s better optimised than MotoGP 25?

Moto GP 26 - First few hours

So I've just finished my first race weekend in Moto GP 26. And I must say, apart from the few bugs, unlike a lot of what I'm reading I actually found it very fun! The best offers a new sense of feel when riding which creates a challenge and something new to learn. You can't just hold 90-100% into each corner any more. Harsh back shifts do upset the Moto 2 bikes etc etc. I personally like this.

The bad bits. Obviously nobody is enjoying the bugs. The ones I've found particularly annoying are the AI getting track limit warnings every lap and that made the race basically impossible to lose. (I'm hoping that was unique to chang??). The tyre changing is also a pain, I personally play all sessions as I like the realness of it, however if you use all your soft tyres for example, in the tyre menu you can't select them if you have used any mediums. It's as though there isn't a path to them.

There are plenty more bugs but I find I can just play around those ones a little more.

Let me know what you guys think!

Post your fastest laps from Isle of man TT 3 👀

Both laps had 2 crashes and a penalty. Room for improvement 😎

Milestone, please explain how this makes the game funner:

From the perspective of the 3 computer player torpedoes that were deployed towards me (Maverick Vinales on the KTM). Please, whoever the hell decided to put stuff like this in the game: why? how does this make the experience funner for anyone? the whole reason I have enjoyed playing racing simulators offline is to AVOID stuff like this.

I’m REALLY enjoying this new view I get when racing in the rain!

Seems like ALL of the raindrop graphics activate at the same time. Sometimes it goes away, sometimes it doesn’t. The throttle response also feels goofy in the rain. Sorta like the autopilot is on, but just a tiny bit. This is a sad, broken game. But the new bike physics are awesome. Too bad the rest of the game is a steaming pile of…

For those who have already played 26, how is it compared to 24.

I've seen only people comparing it to 25, but i'm still playing 24 which to my understanding by reading in here was way better than 25.

I've read that 26 is a step forward from 25 but how is it compared to 24?

Is there no way to see the standings when not in a race weekend?

I’m trying to find the standings and I can’t find them at all. I can’t find the moto 2 or MotoGP results either.

First impressions/over reactions

Wanted to give yall some of my thoughts after getting a chance to play for a couple of hours:

1: man this is hard. Definitely a step up in difficulty which in my opinion is a good thing 25 felt a bit too easy compared to 24

2: trail brake or bust. It seems like a huge emphasis has been put on trail breaking anything more than a whisper of front brake by the time you hit the apex and you are going down

3: backing it in is beneficial. You can actually set the rear down at the end of heavy braking and slide the rear and set yourself up for the corner instead of just sliding and losing time

4: managing grip on exit is huge. I usually play with TC set to 1 so maybe this might effect me more than others but it seems like a bunch of time can be made or lost based on picking a line that allows you to get on the gas without losing traction and overheating the rear

5: you can actually finish out a corner with the new body controlling which is nice

Overall I think this game has a ton of potential to be really rewarding trying to master it. It seems like a ton of emphasis has been put on managing grip and line selection and punishes you for getting it wrong. I think this could easily be the best installment yet and even a masterpiece at least physics wise

Tips on improvement

So basically, I mostly play older MotoGP games, like ‘20 or ‘19.
However, I also have the newer ones like '24 and '25, and I’ve already picked up '26 as well.

My question is: do you guys have any tips on how to improve? The bike handling and physics are so much different in the newer games compared to the 2020 version.

I know there's an Arcade mode too, but honestly, I don't really like it. I'd rather use the Pro mode, but they feel incredibly difficult after being so used to the 2020 handling.

Getting back into MotoGP

Haven't played GP since 06 but I stumbled on to this subreddit after researching GP26 before it was released. I wasn't ready to commit to the latest edition and was leaning towards 24'. I ended up finding a copy of GP20 for $8.00 and I couldn't be more excited.

Career bug in MotoGp 26

Is anyone also experiencing a bug that doesnt let you proceed to next session in career mode ? I get an infinite loading screen and I have to restart the game

Can't select different tyres

So I've sat down to play 26 Career mode, as thats all I play, and I cant seem to select what type compound I want?! It just defaults me back to what it had fitted to the bike before??

Also the fuel gauge is super sensitive and just rockets from min to max.

Anyone else getting these issues?! Come on Milestone, the game should not be released with these bugs!! I wish EA would just take over the MotoGP games!
