I am considering moving to Modesto this winter, I've been living in a small town in Alaska for the past 4 years.

Obviously I expect the vibe to be a lot different from here, but still - is it pretty friendly and welcoming or more like big city vibe and everyone in their small groups? I've got no one even close to Cali so don't wanna get too lonely there.
The next logical question from me, how the weather feels in summers? Are you comfortable walking outside during the day or you kind of stay attached to AC all the time to survive?
And following that - do you have any decent parks or hikes near the city?
Would you consider Modesto pretty safe city? Any nightlife?

Any other thoughts or things to consider about Modesto would be appreciated. 22M

Hi I’m currently a hs senior who went to mjc orientation about some days ago and they were kind of earning as that it was hard to get classes that were required for us and that it’s complicated to get a appointment with out counselors leading to waiting about 3 years to transfer! Soo I want to ask if it’s true and if I should turn the other way…

Like the title says, I was waiting to turn left southbound Coffee and briggsmore intersection at midnight the light was yellow to go straight then red. It was red for about a good 2 seconds and this car ran it but no flash at all. So it had me wonder do they only operate for one direction of traffic or are these new red light cameras a waste of money.

Any local places do mods for game consoles? Where I can just walk in drop off a console and pick it up later or wait. Also, if you know the price that'd be cool.

I'm doing a senior year economics project about franchises. We had to pick a franchise that isn't in Modesto yet, and make a presentation on why we should have it here. Can anyone recommend a company to connect and first and foremost seal every entry point I have a pest control company but it’s mostly for bugs and they leave the bait station that’s it. Said they don’t see any entry and I do not buy it!
