The hype is real. I just got in this militado ml07 from Amazon. It was 55$ The specs punch far above its weight. I recently had the Hamilton 33mm quartz and spec wise the miltado is better. Ive had 3 hamiltons and have kept zero. I threw it on an Amazon khaki canvas strap. I might get an olive erikas for it which is funny as the strap will be double the cost of the watch. Anyways overall I am very impressed and recommend these.

I’d like to share a little but eye opening revelation I just had.

They say that “comparison is the thief of joy” and in this case it’s true as well but it totally helped me not make an impulse purchase of a watch I won’t wear that often anyways.

Was just about to purchase a WD EXD 40 mm in black but decided not to and instead get a Damasko DK30 one day or a homage if available. Two different watches so why did I let go of the WD? I mean it’s perfectly built after all. Credits to Watchdives here.

I compared two wrist pictures with both watches and the WD is just too busy compared to the German minimalist Damasko which has a vibe I simply prefer. Before the comparison I wasn’t able to put my finger on, why the WD did not feel “right” to me.

The lesson is to not impulse buy simply because I like most aspects of a watch but instead to be more critical and take a moment to compare it with something that might truly excite me, like, something with similar features as in this case both are tool watches with a black and white theme but only one of these is calling to me.

Won’t be buying anything for a while and just try to sell, reduce and get only what truly resonates.

ML14

Just arrived. Super nice watch. But the NATO strap is crap. Any recommendations for others? I’m thinking maybe brown leather?

EDIT: for anyone wondering about the lume, it easily lasted a night.

I noticed that Militado quietly updated the ML05 case to have a 46mm lug-to-lug, compared to the original 47.5mm. I’ve had the new version for a few weeks, and it’s fantastic. This honestly fixes one of the only moans/niggles I had with the ML05.

Hopefully the pictures do it justice (new version is on the right). It feels like the original was optimized for nato straps. By contrast, the new version seems optimized for two-piece straps, and natos still work fine. It looks like this is about as short as they could make the lugs without adding relief cuts to the case (like the ML08). The gap between case and strap is basically gone.

Kudos to Militado for improving what was already an amazing watch!

Militado ML20 finishing

hello everyone. im planning to buy the ML20 but there are some things than concerns me. i hope there are some ml20 users out there can point me to the right direction.

  1. the coating of the case: ive noticed on their description that they use some kind of coating on the case to avoid fingerprints. i was wondering after some time of use, will the coating worn off and if it does, does it looks dorrefent visually from the area that still has the coating?

  2. self repair/buff: the finishing of the watch is sand blasted. lets say i scratched it on the side of the case, is there any way i can buff it out to the same finishing as the original? or i cannot remove the scratch myself?

  3. the crown issue: i heard that the crown is very hard to screw down.

i love this watch as the size will fit my wrist perfectly but those issues mentioned above are giving me a second thought. i love seeing my watch in perfect condition so id love to be able to remove scratches myself. thank you so much in advance

Baby Alpinist vibes

The Militado ML08 is still one of the best affordable field watches with that Baby Alpinist-inspired design, clean dial, versatile look, reliable performance, and it won’t break the bank.

At 38mm, it wears perfectly on both smaller and larger wrists, making it an easy everyday watch option for watch enthusiasts and collectors alike.

Lume is a mix of blue and green. Equipped with sapphire crystal, screw down crown, and quality finish for just around $100, it’s easily a great choice for a daily beater.

Request: Miltado ML17 in slim case

Request: could you please homage the CWC G10 DATE version (left photo)?

The RDUNAE RA01 is the no-date version (middle photo), so the slim case is available to Chinese watch manufacturers.

Militado manufactures already the ML17 (fat boy; right photo). I'm asking you to think about taking the same case as RDUNAE RA01, put in the dial and movement of the ML17, and create a new watch without the need to manufacture new parts. Thank you for your consideration!

The cookie cream has arrived

It actually looks better on a blue strap than I assumed it would

I bought the ML08 vintage black dial (murph homage) and I can say that I am very happy with it, the build quality is way above the price point, AR decent, lume is not that bright but definitely works at night, and it keeps time, I will make it my dialy beater, untill I recieve the SanMartin pelagos titanium homage.

Today I received the ML14 cream dial. Put it on a leather strap (Hirsch). The watch is quite small but I like it so far.

Absolutely amazing watch. Screw Down Crown means it can follow me anywhere, from Meetings to Expeditions.

Just wanted to share a quick project I finished up with the new Militado ML18.

When it showed up, the finishing was decent, especially for the price point, but I knew there was more potential there. It just needed that extra something to make it really eye-popping. I’m a big believer that even a budget piece can look high-end if you put a little work into the details.

I ended up taking some polishing tools to the case and the bracelet. I’m fully aware that some of you are die-hard fans of the original satin or matte look that Militado is known for, but that’s just not the vibe I was going for this time. I wanted something that caught the light a bit more and felt a little more refined for a daily wearer.

Honestly, I couldn't be happier with the results. The way it looks in the light now is exactly what I was aiming for. It gives the whole watch a much more "premium" feel without losing that classic pilot watch DNA.

I know it’s not for everyone, but it’s definitely my style. Let me know what you guys think of the new look!

New arrival; first use today. Sun-ray blue dial Militado ML25, homage to the Sinn 104.

Only gripes, so far:

  1. The blue shade of the dial.

Not too thrilled with it. On the Militado pics and videos it looks darker. A nicer shade of blue. Personally, I would have preferred a deeper, darker blue, similar to the original.

  1. Bracelet is IMHO too shiny. Personally, I would have preferred a more brushed bracelet.

  2. Bezel action. Has a little back play. Feels also a bit flimsy. However, much less than my new sandblasted white dial ML25 I recently posted and commented about here.

The most beautiful Militado I own, ML14 with yellow second hand on a bonklip bracelet (which is period accurate for the Mk.11).

u/Background-Fox-4415 — 7 days ago

Switched out the black leather for an orange NATO. Picks up the red and yellow on the second hand.

u/Such_Lettuce_6597 — 11 days ago

In 38mm of course. they already have the case! they should def make it because it is a absolutely beautiful watch and a lot of people would love to buy it!
