Do we have any idea what is going on these last few nights?

My Internet is (like a lot of you have described) has been completely dying at 8 p.m every night since Friday night. I am fine and then all of sudden can do absolutely nothing. I can't get ahold of anyone at metronet. I am thinking about going back to spectrum but I wanted to see if anyone has learned anything about this nonsense first. Thanks!

Is this price normal?

We’ve been paying this for 2 years now and I thought it was normal but I’ve been doing some research since we’re kind of struggling right now and it seems like it’s a lot.

Edit: I got a reply from metronet already and they said that they lowered my bill down to 60 dollars for the 500m and they said that they lowered an extender to 0 dollars. I’m not sure what that is. Maybe the whole home Wi-Fi charge? I’m pretty pleased with that!

Speeds Throttled Last Few Nights... Day 3.. same time

Speeds Throttled Last Few Nights..

Waterloo, IA Area. My speeds (I pay for 5GB plan) my connection/internet speeds have been absolutely shit these last two nights. Same time as well, that's why it's concerning. Dropped to well under KBPS last night, right now hovering into 1gb and under. It's so odd.

My EEROs also went down for about 1 minute last night, reboot slow, but eventually evened out. Of course.. when you call you get "There's an issue in your area affecting service blah blah blah

"

Anyone else? I'm already a stressed and busy person.. and when this stuff happens, I don't know what it is.. but man it drives me so crazy. Gets me so irritated and angry, ESPECIALLY when they expect me to pay my bill on time, every time. But they can f*** with my service ANYTIME!?

Looks to be a major outage for most cities around here that are metronet. Seems to be a larger outage.

I absolutely hate this company

It was either Metronet or some local fiber company that charged $120 for 1Gig. I got the Metronet 2GB speed for $80/mo.

I am lucky to pull 400 most days with wifi. No one comes out to fix it. No one credits. And now my internet is down tonight and possibly tomorrow as well because of maintenance.

Im glad they're installing a new fiber company in my neighborhood, I'm jumping ship the day it becomes available

We're without service since 1030 am, WFH. No ETA regarding service restoration. Anyone else?

Is anyone else routinely getting charged the wrong amount?

They keep messing up my bill and over charging me. I call and they say they messed up and it will be corrected only for the next billing cycle to be wrong again.

I’ve been trying to email them now but they half answer my questions, ask for verification and don’t reply.

Has anyone else dealt with this? How have you solved this issue? What should I do to escalate the situation?

Thanks in advance for any help.
