How many pairs of underwear you guys own?

So I recently read online that a guy should have atleast 14-20 ( some estimates were higher 20-24) pair of underwear in their wardrobe and frankly to me that was a surprising number, as throughout my life I have only had 6-7 pairs. I do my laundry almost everyday so it hasn't been a problem until now. When I asked my girlfriend how many does she have, she said she has 15+ pairs. I would really like opinion of you guys about the ideal number of underwear that a guy should have.

Deciding style of underwear to wear?

What makes you decide which style in underwear to wear for the day. Whether that be boxer, boxer brief, bikini, thong, gstring… nothing? Environment you’ll be in, weather, people around you, etc?

They Way of the Thong

I just recently started to wear thongs (2mo) and do so exclusively since the first day. With the support, comfort and sheer lack of chafing I was sold day one. And damn they feel great. But, gonna sound weird, but my butt crack feels irritated or rubbed a tad raw at times. Just the area by the coccyx and most notably at night, not anywhere else. Everywhere else is perfect. Is it a "it's normal until your body gets used to wearing it" kind of thing? Or is it brand, style etc? For context I live in Florida (so hot and humid), I would say I have a strong athletic build, spend most of my day outside farming/gardening and I wear Summer Code, iKingsky and Hanhepee, ) I bought Amazon since I wasn't sure if would like them and didnt want to drop a bunch of $$$ and something not easily returned). Also, are there better brands but dont cost a ton of money? I read a lot of posts but spending $40 on a sing thongs seems waaay to high. Any advice is welcomed gents, thank you.

Thongs, Thongs, and more Thongs

As someone who switched to wearing thongs full-time about 12 years ago, I've bought all kinds of brands, from the extremely expensive $95.00 a pair to the cheaper $5.00 a pair. My first true comfortable thongs were the JM Natura before JM closed. The new Natura was not so much, so I moved on looking for a replacement. I tried custom, Ergowear, Cocksox, Intymen, CK, BodyAwear, MeUndies, Buddy, Todd Sanfield, Bike, Jockey, Do + Dare, Gregg Homme, Real Men Apparel, AsWeMove and many others, but somehow I find myself always going back to my old trusty JM Natura's I've had for years, MeUndies, and recently Do + Dare Thongs.

Does anyone else have a favorite brand or pair they keep going back to despite having a ton of others to choose from?

Camo Pattern Feedback

I’m working on some fall RMAC product launches and working through some different camo patterns/colors. Still haven’t decided if I’m gonna launch these in a modal, solid nylon or mesh nylon.

Do yall like camo for just boxer briefs or also in the brief, thong and/or jock styles as well?

Thong recommendations

Hiya all!

Been looking at getting more into thongs, I currently have some I quite like from ck, but was wondering if anyone had any specific recommendations,

Ideally something not too pricy, but still a bit flattering

Happy to hear your thoughts!

Jockstrap comfort

Bought Real Men Apparel 2xl mesh jocks D pouch...and first time trying on fit and felt amazing. Week later, wearing it and feels a bit more snug without having been washed.

My question is..is this normal for jock wearing in general while breaking in? Or...

I still love em and plan on continue wear, just want to know what to expect.

Do men still wear boxer shorts?

I’ve gone commando pretty much my whole life, but lately I’ve become more aware of random erections, visible outlines, and bulge visibility through clothes.

I tried different types of underwear, but I honestly don’t like most of them. Boxer briefs feel too tight and close to the body for me, and briefs were even worse — I tried them once and never wore them again.

Recently I started trying loose boxer shorts and sports shorts with mesh lining, and they actually feel much better. They’re comfortable, breathable, and feel more freeing compared to tighter underwear.

The only downside is that they show a slight outline sometimes, although it’s not super obvious.

Do men still regularly wear boxer shorts nowadays, or did most people switch completely to boxer briefs?

Just organized my “plethora”

I just wanted to share my drawer with the community for the first time. I just got out of rehab and I am taking the time to organize Kin Marie style, and throw out stuff. From right to left : string bikinis, bikinis, boxer briefs, and the box on the left is sorted boy shorts, cheekinis, g strings, thongs. I like to have a menu when I wake up and shower, and I’m looking to get more color soon. Love this community. First time posting so go easy on me :)

Empowered by “feminine” underwear

is it just me, or is there something so empowering as a male, to wear underwear cuts typically associated as culturally “feminine”? I’m a straight male who is happily married, and enjoys a wide range of underwear, including boxer briefs, thongs, briefs, cheeky, gstrings, etc.

There‘s something about wearing socially more “feminine” cuts of underwear that remind me how secure I am in my masculinity. I can wear a thong or something cheeky like my wife, and feel attractive and proud of my body like she does, while still feeling empowered as a man knowing I don’t have to question anything. Plus, clothes are expensive, so adding a spicy new pair of underwear under my business casual is an easy and cheap way to change things up and be adventruous!

Are briefs really better than boxer briefs?

I’ve gone my whole life either wearing boxer briefs, a short boxers phase, or going commando. Recently I have had other guys telling me that I should try briefs again. I really never have worn them so I am wondering from someone’s perspective who has switched if they actually are better? Would be happy to hear reasons for or against!

Can someone explain the reason why you wear a jockstrap as opposed to a thong or string to the straight guys out there?

They seem like they would be more uncomfortable, and they would chafe underneath the cheeks

Does anyone have any helpful advice for picking my first pair of briefs

after only ever wearing long-ish leg boxer-briefs for most of my life I’d like to give briefs a try as I like how they look and look as though they could be comfortable but I don’t want to waste money on something cheaper that will fall apart after a few months/year

Cheers in advance!

Thongs at Work

I bit the bullet and decided to do an all-day test drive of the Vesuvius Thong from Krakatoa. I did not notice anything unusual during the 1hr drive and The thong under my dress pants feels just fine while sitting at my desk. The weird feeling is that I feel like I'm not wearing much. A winner! Now I will try another pair over the weekend.

Looking for the best jockstrap for running in hot weather — any recommendations?

My buddy asked me to post this because he doesn’t really use Reddit. He’s a straight guy who runs and works out outside a lot, and now that it’s heating up, he’s sweating like crazy on his jogs. Regular boxer briefs/compressions apparently get soaked fast and start riding up halfway through runs.

Some people suggested trying a jockstrap for better airflow and support, but he doesn’t know much about them and always thought they were just old-school sports gear.

He’s looking for something comfortable, breathable, supportive, and not too flashy — mainly for running and hot weather. Does switching to a jock actually help with sweat and chafing, or is it mostly hype?

Would appreciate any recommendations for brands/styles that work well for cardio or summer workouts.

Why have there been so many thong questions recently?

Not that I'm judging...they're great to wear, but so much so that we need to ask more questions instead of looking up whether or not it's been asked on the community?
