Hair help

I have very dry hair that tends to curl and always looks messy when grown, I would always get a buzz however I want to grow it out, does anyone have any suggestions for style / products to make my hair softer / hold more moisture?

Unsure about my beard - my wife loves it, I miss my face from 2 years ago

I don‘t know if my beard is the problem, or that I gained some weight by becoming a dad 😅

Longer hair and shave/stubble or skin fade and beard?

I’ve went back and forth on this the last few years, never made it longer than 90 days without a skin fade. I’m 41 now and some of my beard hairs are white which makes me feel old. Definitely more accustom to the fade and beard as I have done it for 10 or more years now but maybe 2026 is the year for change.

Happy to have any feedback on different styles/ideas or happy mediums.

Few different pictures of the last couple years styles.

What do I do?

Title says it all.

People around to me keep pestering me about my hair but they’re of no help when it comes to what to actually do with it lol

I’ve been wearing it short for most of my life but haven’t been to the barber for 5 months or so. With other stuff in my life taking priority, I for the most part have been pretty whatever about my hair(except for when certain strands don’t behave lol) I usually hit the gym in the AM, shampoo, condition, put in some paste while it’s still half wet and then head to the office. On the days I don’t make it to the gym, I just wet it, rub it half dry and put in some paste to try and style it and give it hold for the day.

Honestly not sure what I want. Something that fits and compliments me. I’m not opposed to keeping it longer if I can figure out an appropriate style. If possible lower maintenance. Dress code at the office is business casual, leaning towards casual.

Pics:

1-4 is at the office, the most presentable I can get it after my post gym shower.

5-8 post shower just towel rubbed

All of these actually don’t have the aforementioned product in but it’s called “Schwarzkopf Got2b Beach Matt Surfer Look Matt Paste (100ml)” it’s the only product I’ve liked and gives me a decent hold and styling.

I have never been to a barber in my life, which do I choose before I make a mistake?

Hi! I've never gone to a barber or a stylist before, I've always just gotten haircuts at home. The first picture is my current hair, should I change it to a different style or keep it the same? I was between these ones and not sure which one fits my face shape/hair type best?

How to achieve this style more consistently?

I have naturally wavy hair, which often bunches and curls especially towards the ends in the front. I like the flow backward while keeping that straight/wavy look. A lot of the time I can’t get my hair to fall naturally and flow back like this, and have no idea what I do to give it the look pictured here.

Starting to date again, which style leaves a good first impression?

I'm getting back into the dating scene after a messy break and want to make a complete change. The first pic is a recent pic and I'm wondering if I should I stick with it or if one of the other styles will suit me better?

EDIT: since people are asking, I used "snipd hairstyle" app for this. I just started using it so can't endorse it but its been the most realistic of all of the ones out there

How to keep that much hair in place?

In the movie, The Holidate, Luke Bracey has a haircut that is similar to mine. His hair looks a little longer but I’m curious, how do you keep that in place? Product wise?

My hair can stay like that when it’s a little shorter but anytime it gets longer and thicker, it gets weighed down and just falls forward.

I use Kevin Murphy free hold.

help my hair

17m looking for hairstyles to do

* Type: 2B * Porosity: High (absorbs water quickly but loses it just as fast) * Condition: Dyed red, but generally healthy/not damaged

My Current Routine:

* Wash Schedule: I wash 3x a week using cold water to help keep my red color vibrant and close the hair cuticle * Products: I use Skala or Salon Line creams in the shower * Sealing: I apply coconut oil immediately after my creams to lock in the moisture from the products

My Goal: I'm looking for a new cut or style that helps my 2B waves pop without looking weighed down by the products I use for high porosity. I'd also love suggestions on hairstyles plsss
