You can make an extra $190 with under 30 minutes of work with these promotions

With rent, groceries and everything else being stupidly expensive right now, I’ve been keeping an eye out for any easy ways to make a bit of extra cash. Found a few sign up promos last week that actually paid out and figured I’d post them here in case anyone else could use the cash boost. They're pretty easy to do, you can fly through all 3 sign ups in like 15-30 minutes depending on how quick you type.

ING – $100

ING bank are currently trying to grow so they're running this promotion where you can earn $100 just for signing up and making a few transactions. It pays the most but takes the longest because you have to wait for a physical card. Definitely worth it though and it's only running until May 31st so take advantage of this promotion while it's there.

  1. Sign up here – Click here
  2. Deposit $1000 (you can move it back later)
  3. Make 5 card purchases
  4. Open a Savings Maximiser and add $1

Once that’s done, ING pays $100 into your account. It takes them a few days, I think they have to wait for the 5 card purchases to settle.

MyPayNow – $47.33 profit

If the name of this business sounds familiar, you've probably seen them on the front of the Gold Coast Titan's jerseys as they're one of their main sponsors. They're currently running a promotion where you can sign up through one of their promo links and get $50 when you take an advance. You can take advantage of this offer by taking out a small advance and paying it back straight away.

  1. Sign up here – Click here
  2. Tap “Get Pay Now”
  3. Choose the smallest amount: $50
  4. The $50 goes into your bank almost straight away along with the $50 bonus. When you pay it back, they charge a $2.67 fee.

So you keep $47.33.

You can pay it back straight away and close the account if you don’t want it anymore.

Wagepay – $45

This works the same way as MyPayNow, just with bigger numbers.

  1. Sign up here – Click here
  2. Take a $100 advance (that's the minimum)
  3. Pay it back (there’s a $5 fee)
  4. They give you $50, so you end up $45 ahead.

Money hit my account within minutes after taking the advance. I got sent the $100 I advanced and a second $50 payment straight after. Just paid the $105 straight back and ended up $45 ahead.

Tigers vs. Roos

Yeah we got smashed (going to be a rough season) but thought that my first outing with the Z50ii to a sporting event resulted in some half decent pics.

Found an easy way to make $100 if you need it

With everything getting more expensive lately and petrol prices getting out of hand, I’ve been keeping an eye out for simple promos that are actually worth doing like bank sign ups and card offers. This one is probably the best I've seen in awhile so thought I'd pass it along for anyone who wants to take advantage of it before it expires on May 31st.

ING are giving $100 to new customers who sign up before May 31st and complete a few basic steps. Literally all you have to do is:

  1. Register using this link
  2. Deposit $1000 (you’re not spending it, just parking it temporarily)
  3. Make 5 purchases with the debit card
  4. Open a Savings Maximiser and deposit $1

After that, you just wait for the bonus to hit.

I used the card for regular shopping and split payments at checkout to knock out the 5 transactions in one go. Easy. If you’re already juggling banks or don’t mind opening a new account, it’s a pretty straightforward $100.

Where do you develop film in Melbourne?

I’ve been shooting film around Melbourne for a while and kept running into the same issue — finding reliable labs that actually give consistent scans.

I’ve tried or looked into a few places so far:

Irohas Photo Lab – fast turnaround, consistent scans, good for both C41 and B&W

Halide Express – quick and affordable, good if you need something same/next day

FilmNeverDie – more of a community hub, also offers processing and workshops

Kindred Cameras – more on the creative/art side, but still useful depending on what you need

From what I’ve seen, the main differences come down to:

turnaround time (same-day vs slower but more careful scans)

scan quality / color consistency

whether you want a “lab” vs more of a creative space

I’m still trying out different labs, so curious —

where do you usually develop your film in Melbourne?
