(This is more of an imaginative exercise than an interpretation that I want people to accept) Homura, after each timeline, becomes increasingly distant and different from the Homura for whom Madoka unhesitatingly sacrificed her own friend (Mami) to save. To be blunt, if Homura hadn't managed to kill Walpurginatch in the anime's timeline, her next big challenge would have been to build a relationship with Madoka. But this would frustrate her, because she would soon realize that the Homura Madoka liked was quite different from the Homura she is now. Most likely, Madoka wouldn't become as close and friendly with Homura after all these events; they would be friends, but distant friends who share a trauma, They wouldn't be best friends or even lovers anymore.

Thank you u/BreathoftheSith for inspiring to post this as this is in response to his questions on what my favourite moment was from the series and it has to be the scene from Episode 2 where we saw Mami's Apartment for the first time what can I say I'm a sucker for scenes of friends hanging out.

And this time last year I made an appreciation post for Mami to celebrate my 21st Birthday and now that my 22nd Birthday is coming up I just wanted to I guess share another because Mami is my favourite character in the show she's the (Puella Magi) Magical Girl version of Superman and due to her shortime on the show there isn't too much of her so I had to make it count especially with what I could've shared...

Yeah I'm not gonna talk about given how Tramatized I am I have been a Madoka Magica Fan since 2024 (I know a late age) and she just stood out especially since she isn't just one of my favourite Magical Girls but also one of my Top 20 Favourite Superheroes Of All Time.

And to a point where for a lot of stuff I do with myself insert OC wheater I'd be on Discord or on Wattpad I always make her the mentor because I honestly need someone like her in my life

Her warm and gentle smile, her welcoming presence, her kindness

I'm not doing too good as a person right and I really need somehelp like a mother figure of sorts and seeing her and her apartment like this makes me feel less depressed.

Not including the movies and other stuff (for now, particularly Rebellion), what is your favorite scene from the show?

If I had to choose, it’d be between:

1. The scene in Episode 8 of Madoka almost wishes to save Sayaka before Homura shoots Kyubey and emotionally breaks down to the latter

2. In Episode 11, where Homura reveals that she’s from the future to Madoka and begs her to let her protect her

3. Gonna cheat and say the final episode as a whole, Madoka’s ascension to godhood and sacrifice is one of the most heroic and inspiring acts I’ve ever seen in any series ever

Side note: The English dub VAs for Madoka and Homura (Christine Marie Cabanos and Cristina Vee) absolutely KILLED IT with their performances imo. And I would LOVE if anyone share / link any of these clips
