What is your daily charge limit?

I have a 2025 extended range 88 kW NMC battery. I noticed Ford says to charge a 90% daily and articles like the one quote below say charge to 80%. What level do you guys normally charge to for battery longevity?

Front vents opened while parked?

Just walked past my car and noticed that the front vents are open. Never saw them open before. Anyone know if this is a glitch or if I can do anything to test that they are working correctly?

So for the 0% 2023 gang… it’s been about 24-30 months of ownership… how are we all feeling?

I was in the market for a new car during the 2023 Fire sale, and wound up with a grey GT.

Since buying it my work commute has changed from 30 miles to 2 miles so I’m only a hair under 12K miles right now.

Pros

- Love the look, love driving it, love it’s pick up and love honestly everything about the BlueCruise, Ford even extended my BlueCruise to 2029 after following a link in this subreddit a few months back, so I don’t’ have to worry about that price.

- Love the Blue Cruise. LOVE IT. I don’t’ mind long highway trips as I can rest my arms and fiddle with the radio (yes I keep my eyes on the road, the car doesn’t yell at me).

- Love the giant screen and how great Apple CarPlay works. It occasionally hiccups and fucks around, but I don’t have major issues with it.

- Love driving by gas stations signs and looking what gas costs nowadays.

- LOve getting OTA updates to fix little things randomly and even recall things.

Cons

- Cannot road trip to our favorite destination (Vermont) as the infrastructure in the towns we visit sucks and we have to take the wife’s Tucson Hybrid ( 400 miles on less than 10 gallons isn’t bad). Some vacation spots are rough due to lack of charging stations and lack of level 3 chargers. The VT towns we visit all had Tesla destination chargers and the one Level 3 was only 2 stalls and 1 was broken.

- Road charging is too slow. I don’t like the 30+ minute waits to charge up on road trips. I’m jealous when I see other manufacturers slashing that in half… but I know the future is bright, but it’s one of the reasons I fear the resale value will keep dropping, no one wants to wait that long.

- Not a fan of the Ford dealership service departments in my area.

- I get infrequent errors when I do a lot of stop/go errands where I’ll get in and start it and it’ll give me the error where it won’t start the car as if the 12 V is dead. I have to wait a few minutes and do the four way flasher reset to get going again (the shop says my battery tests fine) ..

Overall I love this car, and I think I made the right choice, the vacation inconvenience sucks, but my wife got the hybrid (she’s WFH so her fill ups are few and far between anyway).

What about you guys?

A tale of two owners…

I looked at Teslas just for giggles but kinda always knew I would land on a Mach e bc the wife has loved them since inception. What I feel comical is the stark difference in the two subs here: Mach e and Tesla. Y’all are genuine car people that enjoy your cars for what they are and posting why you love your MME without shoving it down everyone throat. We still baby our MMEs but the Tessie crowd is comical posting their door dings asking if they should file w/ insurance or sue for diminished value. They are worried about hurting their babies while we are out here living our best lives with ours.

Glad I made the right choice ;)

Charger plugged in

So, I’ve currently got my car plugged in to charge, but the app says my vehicle is on (it’s not) and also says it’s off plug (currently plugged in).

Is this some sort of glitch? Does anyone know how to remedy this? I’ve tried logging out of the app and logging back in as Google suggested. No change. I don’t believe my car is currently charging.

Fun AND True Story.

I have a 2017 Mustang Convertible and a 2023 MME so not poking fun at either. I pulled the MME into a grocery store lot and I am nose to nose with the almost exact same 2017 I own. The owner is walking out and jokingly says, “i guess you wanted to see a real Mustang”. My response: “You mean that slow red one?”. His reply, “You got me there” and we proceeded to have a quick discussion about branding and how it may seem ridiculous to call it a Mustang but nothing close to the Mitsubishi rebrand of the Eclipse from a sports car to an SUV. Good fun.

2025 Premium - what does this parking button do for me?

There is a parking button next to the hazards - not sure what this does. The sales guy and the dealer shrugged so hard his shoulders were above his earlobes.

Insights?

Joined the herd

Just got my “stallion” on Saturday and so far super happy with my purchase. Very low key, but man that torque and the smoothness. Take in mind my last car was a 2013 Prius plug-in, but still. I’m glad I gave my kid the plug-in and got me this one ☝️😊

How can I know if my Mach E is AWD or RWD?

Hi all, I purchased my Mach E two days ago and all the advertising had it listed as AWD. I was talking to my dealer today (turns out we have a lot of the same hobbies lol) and he said it's definitely rwd. I just took a quick recording of their website and window sticker to cover myself just in case, but is there any way I can check? Thanks!

Lectron NACS to CCS Electric Vehicle Adapter with Interlock - (500A/1,000V) - Compatible with Superchargers - Has anyone used this?

As you all know, I am going to pick up my car on Wednesday. Driving from Kansas City to Denver. I'll be on I-70, a straight shot pretty much.

Are Lectron’s good?

Will I be able to get home just fine with the current set-up, or would you buy this adapter?

I am looking at 583 miles and usually 8 1/2 hours with an ICE.

I take it that it would be longer with the EV.

I'll be driving a 2024 Premium with extended battery range, 91 kWh.

Keep my GT as is or change it up?

My Mach-E is Carbonized Grey Metallic with machined faced wheels (pic 1). I've always loved the combo of Nardo Grey with black wheels (pic 2).

What do y'all think? It obviously wouldn't be a cheap modification, so I'm not sure if it's worth it. I've also never had a car wrapped before, so I don't know if there are any downsides to it.

Appreciate any thoughts!
