Test tomorrow, Assignment due in 3 days with another Assignment due in 7 days and a test in 13 days. Behind in all my units and I just dont care anymore....

I don't know how to force myself to care anymore.. it doesn't matter if the teacher makes the lectures engaging, it doesn't matter if it is the most interesting subject on the earth, it doesnt matter if I reduce my study load.... my brain just doesn't want to study anything...

Hi i have applied and been offered for semester 2 course- bsc

double major in maths/physics

The classes i would like to do are only offered in session 1 for next year - for example physics1010 and maths - 1015 , but maths 1010 is offered at semester 2 which is nice but i really want to do maths 1015

If i do end waiting until 2027 for 1015, since i cant do any semester 2 courses without the prerequesties such as - (i cant do physics1020 without physics1010) or i cant do - (1025 without 1010 or 1015)

what do i do in this semester 2 while i wait for the 2027 session 1?

do i just do all the essential sciencistist unit, the intro to stats, and programming to python??

and will only start my elective physics and maths units until 2027?

We had to make a group for an assignment for a really really boring subject. I don't think it should be legal to find the subject interesting at all, it's that boring! But, the assignments still need to be researched so that there isn't just some random shit sprawled across the paper that doesn't even make any sense. This is assignment 2 for this subject and an extension to the first one. So the first phase was developing a product for an organization, this phase studies its long term scalability, identifying and managing potential pitfalls.

I thought it would be easy to do the first one, would chuck it into AI and get the whole thing done in no time! but no! it took me 7 days of going through the book daily for 2 hours to get it done, and score decent on the assignment. I actually had to "READ" the "BOOK" for it. Comes phase 2, we divide our work, decide we would take 5-6 days each, to finish a phase of the project, which would give us decent time to actually research the project and write something meaningful. 2 hours after the discussion, I get a message from one of my group members stating that he has done his share of the project. I was quite amazed because to gauge the complexity of an assignment I go through the unit guide to get a rough estimate of the number of hours which was 20 in this case. He did it in 2. A legend indeed. Opened the link he shared.

SOME RANDOM FUCKING AI SLOP! that didn't even make any fucking sense whatsoever. The flaccid dick sculpture near the fountain makes more sense!! So I enquired him about his rather extremely efficient methods to put down in my memoirs, he replied, in a rather proud tone "Oh its easy, just put the whole assignment into Claude, and it'll do everything for you, the whole thing". "And do you like read it after it gives it to you? " I asked, to which I get the response - "Oh bruv it's correct, it's AI". I jUst wanted to put my fucking head through the wall.

Later that night, I read the whole thing, found 10-11 something mistakes in the whole thing. Texted the dude about it. Guess what, the fucking bloke again put it into Claude, gave it new constraints, Claude being the legend it is, deleted half the assignment, and the dude sent it to me.

Defeated, I did my share, his share and then relied on another bloke who said he'd take care of the references and conclusion. This fourth dude met me after the class, opened the assignment link infront of me, copied the whole fucking thing, left out all the images, which had half the explanation in them, but he was different, dude fucks with Gemini. Pasted the whole thing in the chat box. And just one command, -------- "Conclud ths". Typed so fast left out two characters. And that's it the assignment was done.

The third dude was fine.

I get it you got jobs, so do a lot of people, and uni isn't the only thing in your life. Prolly you are the next Christ Hemsworth or you wake up next to him every morning, I do't know. You got different priorities in life, fine! but just for the sake of someone's sanity who has to clean up your mess, don't rely on AI to the point that you need it to tell you when to take a piss

I got 40% on my property law assignment. It’s not a hurdle but I am so hopeless now. I worked really hard on this assignment and was super happy with it, but found out I got 40%. The average was 65%. I am a distinction student and have never gotten below a 70%. I actually don’t know what to do. I find it really hard to get my participation marks up in class due to the tutorial size being 60 students, and am not great at exams. This unit has been the death of me and now failing feels like the end of the world. I really don’t know what to do.

I’m a bachelor of ancient history student and decided to leave pace for my final semester. Get an email last year about how they are changing my core units due to the new history degree. Cool I’ve done all my core units except pace. Email states it will be offered in both semesters. Decided to look into pace this afternoon and lo and behold it’s only session 1. Reached out to the pace team who confirm it’s session 1 only. They tell me to make an enquiry about it on the service connect portal, waiting now for a reply which will probably say ‘yeah BHIS3001 is session 1 only tough luck’. Flm probably gonna have to wait till next year to graduate now 🙃 (sorry just wanted to rant lol)

I am doing 4 units and go in three days a week. I also have a casual job with +- 20h per week and I make around $700-$800pw, it’s not bad but not enough for my situation. I need to start making at least $1k weekly after tax. I’ve looked/applied at a bunch of places in liquor&gaming, reception, paid internships, etc, but nothing has worked for me as they either require more hours than I can do or I get rejected/overlooked. My current job is kinda flexible schedule-wise, so I can reduce my hours to get more at a new job, but I can’t get any more hours at the moment, which is why I’m looking for a second source of income. Since now I work around 20h, I am happy to work up to 10h extra at the new place, so I can still leave time for study and personal commitments. I am doing business in uni and I also have my RSA and RCG, as well as a CERT IV in Retail Management. I don’t have a license atm so I can’t go anywhere far or work for places that require a license. I’m looking for places in lower north shore and CBD. Anyone have any recommendations? Or any other ways to make extra $200-300 pw? Anything helps.

For privacy reasons I don't want to say my name or what course I'm doing, but I will say it's one of those "braindead" degrees that majority of the people on campus are doing which can be quite broad and give you autonomy in where you wanna go.

Anyway, I am in my 3rd year and have only actually passed 3 units (yes I know, it's f*cking terrible), and I told myself I really need to lock in this year because I'm on academic monitoring. I am currently enrolled in 3 units this semester and am guaranteed to pass 2 of them. The 3rd one I have failed twice before simply because it was not engaging, and I found the work to be hard and not even remotely related to my major or what I actually want to do post graduation. Well, I've slacked off on this same unit again because I just find it not worth my time and it seriously has not had any impact on my learning for my major. I've looked around online to see if I can waiver the unit and not have to complete it, and there is the option to, but you have to submit a request between a certain period of time and you need to have a good reason. Has anyone else here waived a unit they just didn't/couldn't do because it wasn't beneficial to you or your learning?

I'm literally struggling to start my assignments early and always end up doing them last minute and have passed on a few. Does anyone have any tips for actually not getting stressed out the minute an assignment is available? And please don't refer me to the services already provided at MQ, I do not have the time to go on that path. I usually study in my room and get all my assignments done in my room so I just need tips on mental tricks and buffers for getting assignments done.

But anyone know how waiving the unit actually works? I tried doing it, but there's a timeline you have to submit it in so it wouldn't take me past the first page. If I pass 2 of my 3 units this semester whilst on academic monitoring will it go back to cautionary or remain at monitoring? Sorry guys I'm just stressed out cause this unit is giving me stress, everything that's in it literally does not contribute to what I want to do after I graduate.

Yes I am serious about my education, I want to lock in, I want to finish and every start of semester I say and then I don't do it. But I am locking in. It is never too late I hope. What do I even write for the unit waiver?

Hey! I’m in year 12 currently and I’m really interested in doing a bachelor of business next year, it requires a 75 atar for guaranteed selection.

In my prelims last year my marks were okay, not great, but okay. Mostly c’s and a couple B’s. I did do peer year 11 peer support for year 7’s though.

I’m wondering if me doing DOFE silver in year 10 can count towards early entry and also if anyone can give their opinion on if there is a chance I could get accepted.

EYES up crew! Im a captain from far far away sees and me ship has landed me to study commerce and computer science . We as a society look for enthusiastic people to dress up as pirates and go to charities and fund-raising initiatives also dressed up as pirates and then which we celebrate afterwards ..guess what!. also dressed up as pirates!!!!!! If you were to be interested in joining our ship you a lucky soul for you are making a very wise and smart decision.

you'll also get good volunteering and experience to include in your resume which through the ironic outcastish nature of the society and its initiative geniunly will stand out to your employer and show them what a unique and charismatic young lad you are.

I am a first year student and have noticed my tutor is always repeating he is single and almost advertising it.. that along with wandering eyes and favouring certain female students who tend to be wearing more ‘revealing’ clothes (not that it should it justify predatory behaviour) just irks me.

Also feel like I should mention that hes told my tutorial class that he’s been getting instagram recommendations for our accounts.

Not sure if I should report it but it just seems like this may be unsafe for students, any suggestions or advice on what to do?
