Thoughts on New Faces V1
It’s funny because back when I discovered Mac, I always wondered why it was called New Faces V2.
Of course then I find V1 months later, and ya it’s a bit rough.
I definitely prefer the official release, V2, but it’s funny because it’s almost like Mac was using the “V2” to send us hunting for V1. Now I hear it and ya it’s definitely got differences lol, rougher vocals. Also poor Earl, bro just ditched the rest of the verse and let the instrumental run lmao. Glad they got lyrics and vocals down in the end.

I think it’s interesting. Mac had a submariner Rolex his grandpa gave him. He had a song called submarine. His late artwork was a submariner. He had the yellow submarine tattooed on his leg because that song by the Beatles got him through a bad acid trip. Synchronicity ❤️
The influence runs deep to his child hood. Artistically the ocean concepts are great material to work with.
