Do people actully like the FM as it is?
I get that it's different from the meta "auction house" style of trading that's popular in majority of mmos, but I always found FM to be so exhausting, not to mention the p2w nature of it.
Does the general playerbase prefer the current FM style (stores and spamming B> S> at the entrance), auction house style trading or something in between? Personally I prefer an AH and definitely don't like the huge time/energy sink trading is EVEN when paying for a store, but I also do get that some people might enjoy searching for deals through mushroom stores for hours.
Anyone else completely ruin a character when they were younger?
I ruined my first I/L Mage because I didn't understand Magic Guard and thought Magic Armour was better. I couldn't even survive during my turn during Monster Carnival win trades lmfao
Edit: I also remember on my very first Warrior I used a few attribute points into int. When my friends asked why I said "In case he needs to be smart" xd
Chinese Closed Beta is Cooked

The coolest weapon in all of OSMS
Built in eyepoke apparatus too
do you still think 2026 release is possible?
.
Thanks for Nothing
Get this modern crap outta here. NEXON, WE WANT CLASSIC NEWS. ANYTHING!!?
Lowest apm class?
Howdy yall, I got some gnarly carpal tunnel and was wondering if anyone could recommend a class that has ridiculously low apm. Preferably a class that will essentially sit there and press one button and move around every so often. I know sounds boring but I am old. Thank you.
For clarification: I used to main Aran so lol
2H Swords
Some swords that either are iconic or stand out to me as pretty sweet. I always thought the Zard looked sick with the metal rings. This piece is the only one that I haven't had in storage. Made it this evening as I was perusing that other post about "The Coolest Weapon in all of OSMS". I'll probably do a few series like this to brush back up the pixeling.
Btw I definitely think Blue Screamer has to be top 3 coolest weapons in OSMS. The more I looked at it, the more I fell in love with the design. Most fun I had was making the Stonetooth with its glow.
Petition to make a dad's/workers group/guild
For those of us that have extensive adult responsibilities (whether that be work, family or both) and won't have much time to play as the average neet and or sweat, I think we should make a group or guild.
I myself work 60-70 hours a week as a machine operator, I have one 4 year old daughter with whom I have part custody and a baby girl on the way in June with my wife, I will realistically only get a couple hours a day to play MapleStory Classic World and would like to find people that share in similar responsibilities so we can all join up.
I used to play MapleStory as a teenager, around 2006 was when I started (after playing gunbound for about a year). Some of my best memories as a teenager were going home and logging in and playing on my I/L Mage, I never got very far (about level 55) but had a blast. These days current MapleStory just doesn't hit the same, it feels cluttered, over-stimulating and the progression is all kinds of f*cked... It's far from the game I used to enjoy playing.
So who's keen?
Edit1: although title may be misleading, this also applies to the ladies.
Edit2: for those wondering, I'm 34. My wife (33) and my brother and his wife (33,33) will all be playing.
Hog
now every class has a fj. remember the days when had to go to aquarium to unlock the hog mount?
SpringTale is a 2D action platformer RPG MMO inspired by Maplestory, Realm of the Mad God and Vagante. Explore procedurally generated biomes alongside other players in a shared persistent world, where your equipped weapons and armor are fully visible on your character.
Permadeath with Weight
Dying means losing your character, gear, and run progress. This is non-negotiable. It is the source of all tension. On death your character drops all equipped items.
Shared World, Organic Co-op
Players coexist in the same zones. Groups form naturally around bosses and town hubs. No matchmaking required.
"You are what you wear"
SpringTale uses a “you are what you wear” class system. That means there are no fixed classes. A player’s playstyle is entirely defined by the equipment they have equipped. Weapons grant active combat skills and determine attack range and type. Armor and accessories grant active and passive abilities along with stat bonuses. Two players wearing different loadouts should feel like completely different characters.
Procedural worlds
Biomes in SpringTale are procedurally generated and refreshed every 24 hours so no run will ever feel the same!
An online demo featuring the first biome (Pinefields, including 3 unique bosses) is available to play NOW! This demo is available to Windows and MacOS users and can be downloaded via steam here: SpringTale on steam.

Process of tufting - korean fan
Hi guys, its been a while but its hard to find the time to make a decent video of the process. Hope you guys enjoy it!
I'm a regular dude, employed, played old school maplestory way back in the day as a kid and had forgotten about the game for a longgg time. I don't game that much anymore but I heard about classic world about 2 months ago and i was so hyped to hear that my childhood game was coming back. I saw there was a closed beta so I signed up not expecting much, but I was pretty excited for the chance of playing soon. Halfway through the COT I got a key and played for a couple days, more fuel to the hype fire, I got super excited for the game.
After COT ended I submitted the feedback survey, joined the discord to see the discussions, found myself randomly thinking about what class I want to play, how I can fit regular sessions into my life now and what cool looks to get now that I can finally buy some NX with my own money, happy to support the devs for making an awesome game.
Since COT ended I've been checking daily for any news of 'next steps' for classic world but it seems like the team has gone completely silent after COT. No whisper of what's next or when the game's coming out. Today I felt like I woke up from the hype dream, I started feeling like a fool for checking this subreddit and the discord daily just to find absolutely nothing, but hey the momentum from the hype was so strong I realize I was just looking for some fuel to keep it going.
But I've got a job, a family and other stuff going on and I feel more and more like a complete idiot checking every day for a scrap of news to fuel my dying hype, only to find absolutely no news, no info, no general ballpark of a release date, nothing.
It feels like a giant bucket of cold water thrown on my hyped up head. My excitement about this game is drastically decreasing. Now I feel 'whatevers' about this game. maybe I'll play a bit when it comes out if I have some free time, but I no longer feel like 'omg I NEED to clear my schedule to play this and tell my old friends about this so we can all play together again at launch'
I'm hoping to feel the hype again when the game comes out but I have a lot of other priorities in my life now and honestly I'm not sure I'll get excited enough to carve out time to play whenever the game comes out, because now I feel like a fool for getting excited.
Anyone else feel that way? or was I just an idiot for getting so hyped up about a wisp of a game?
If Classic does come out and is faithful, would Dexless/Luckless builds even function?
I don't recall Bathrobes being a thing, so no level 20 robs with +10 speed and lots of Dex/Luck/Int scrolled onto them.
I don't know when maple weapons will be added. I doubt Elemental wands will be added for who knows how long.
So yeah, how would these Mono stat builds work without any of the later gear to get?
