maple nostalgia hits different with classic world coming back
haven’t really played maple since childhood. only came back on and off last year out of nostalgia.
made a bunch of chars, pushed 9k legion, and my furthest progression was only a 275 clearing vhilla lol. i never got attached to current maple. most of the time i was just logging in to pass time.
current maple is such a chore. dailies, weeklies, bossing, legion. feels like you’re maintaining an account instead of actually playing a game.
miss when maple had no real purpose. you’d just log in and exist. grind random maps for hours, do pq with random people, chill in henesys, mess around in fm trading, just trying random stuff and learning as you go.
saw the classic world test announcement recently and it brought back a lot of that feeling. now just waiting on updates and hoping to jump in when it drops.
old maple felt just more fun.
might be simple nostalgia, but that’s the version that actually stuck with me.
