I want to know that colleges like mait, msit, bpit,bvcoe and other they are private institutions so does they follow obc,sc/st reservation

After yesterday's jee result, my CRL was 1.24 lakh. Do you think I can manage to get Btech CSE in a IPU College (Since the fees is quite less compared to private colleges). Please help. My intrests are in CSE / CS-IT / Cyber-security, etc

I am already a first year cse student in Mait so leaving mait and joining usict in August will be a better choice or not . Because last year I do not have ews certificate and got mait CSE core so I might get usict CSE with specialisation or IT this time . Please tell because till tomorrow I have to pay the fees of second year

I’m getting around 95–96 percentile (Delhi quota), so realistically I can land either MSIT CSE or MAIT CSE.

Instead of generic ‘both are good’ answers, I want some real ground reality from seniors:

• Fees comparison (hidden costs bhi batao, not just brochure numbers)
• Attendance strictness (proxy heaven or jail?)
• ROI (placements vs effort vs crowd)
• Coding culture (actual grind or just ‘bhai DSA karlo’ vibes?)
• Peer group quality
• Internships & opportunities
• Overall college life / vibe

Basically — if YOU had to pick again, what would you choose and why?

I’ve recently given JEE and I’m trying to decide between DTU Environmental/Biotech and MAIT CSE. I’m quite confused and would really appreciate some honest guidance from seniors or anyone who has insight into these colleges.

A bit about my priorities:

- I don’t care much about college life, fest, etc.

- My main goal is to get a high-paying job (25–30+ LPA or higher) in tech

- I want a strong peer group that pushes me to grow

- I’m ready to work hard consistently throughout college

My confusion:

- DTU has a strong brand name, but I’ll be in a non-CS branch (Environmental/Biotech). I’m not sure how much that affects tech opportunities, internships, and placements.

- MAIT offers CSE, which is directly aligned with my goals, but I’ve heard mixed opinions about placements and peer group compared to DTU.

What I want to understand:

1. How realistic is it to break into high-paying tech roles (25–30+ LPA) from DTU non-CS branches?

2. Do DTU students from branches like Environmental/Biotech get enough tech opportunities, internships, and coding culture exposure?

3. How is the coding culture, peer quality, and placement support in MAIT CSE?

4. Which option would be better if my end goal is top tech companies or high-paying startups?

5. Does DTU’s brand outweigh the advantage of having CSE at MAIT in the long run?

I’m ready to grind hard, do DSA, projects, internships, etc.—I just want to make the right starting choice.

This face reading thing is so shit, if someone grows a beard or their hair, it stops recognising or if your face is slightly tilted or your face expressions are different, I mean you cant go more cheap than this, biometrics dont work like that. whats even the point of it when half of the time you are entering through Gate no.1 or 2 just without any verification or most of the time you just get in with your friend or the guard punches the card. Just BS tbh.
