Devil Jin Tekken Emporer

I'm trying to get Devil Jin to Tekken God, after a painful climb to reach Emporer, I realised I physically have no clue how to safely use him. Currently all I seem to be able to do is. DB2 into WS1 into Mourning Crow (3 opportunities to fail) or DF1 string when in the neutral. And if I get a knockdown, risk my life going for wavu into Hellsweep or Samsara. I used to be able to do all sorts of other stuff, 3 1 4 counterhit, KBD into Shackle, KBD into Heat Smash, 1+2, u4 or b3 reads, mix in df2 to try and sneak a CH, SS2, now it feels like everything gets blocked. Any moves I need to add to my kit, I was thinking about using b1+2 and uf3 more since they're safe mids, but I already use enough mids.

First season3 tierlist. What are your thoughts on this?

I find it very accurate what stack has cooked up

Latina Neutral got me GoD2

My accolades so far

S1- TG

S2- GOD1

S3- GOD2(so far)

Gotta say it's been a wild ride. While this match doesn't showcase the highlight of my skills and Azu expertise, you bet yo ass I played my mind off for most of the grind. It's one hell of a climb!

I tried to brute force my way into GoD and now I feel stupid.

Basically I reached TGS with a 62% winrate. I’m not a great player, but I think I’m somewhat decent at the game. Yoshi does carry me too.

Anyway, I foolishly decided that I would just try and see what happens. I eventually made it to my promo match, but lost. I tried again… and again… and again… “just one more match.”

I started mashing, playing tilted, pure tunnel vision. I played a lot of games, stayed up too late, and now my winrate sits at 51%, my defense stat has dropped below 50, I’m stuck between TG and TGS, and I generally feel stupid and defeated.

I dunno what the point of this post is. I just feel dumb and have no one to share this with. Do ya’ll ever get like this?

I think I need to take a break.

A rocky match, but for the first time ever, I made it to Tekken God.

It's been an uphill grind with on and off gaming breaks, but I think it's a neat milestone.

Do you guys have these moments of watching a replays because you thought you were cooking, only to see that you were ass?

I wanted to share this replay because I thought I had a very clean and smooth sidestep jet upper, only to watch the replay and see that it was chunky as hell and only worked because the dude was mashing

Still funny though

193 hours later and I hit GOD... and I still am so bad at the game

My heart was beating out of my chest that last round and I played like it lol. King is busted and don't let ANYONE tell you otherwise. I am hardcore carried. Remove the wall combo and heat jaguar sprint needs to take way more heat, or just be removed. I would not be this rank if people knew how to break giant swing. (Also yes this victor was VERY laggy)

I finally managed to beat my (locals) friend who is GoD1 as Leo, who beat my ass more times than I can count in casuals and tourney(s)

When do you know you’re ready to advance in rank?

I have a 62% Ranked winrate with Yoshi at TGS. My end goal is to reach GoD.

Many people have told me that if your WR is above 50% you should be able to climb, however my Quick Match winrate is at 43% and the opponents in QM are quite strong.

I do find that Ranked is typically “easier” than Quick Match, but considering I’ve only fought a handful of GoD players it’s hard for me to gauge if I’m ready.

TLDR: How do you know you’re ready to climb? Do you just grind ranked? Do you play QM until you win a certain amount?

Do you guys ever feel burned out from playing Tekken 8

I played Tekken 8 everyday for the past 7 months and I played like 5-7 Hours everyday and for the first time ever I haven't opened Tekken in a week...

Why is Ranked easier then Quick Match shouldn't be the other way around?

So in most games Ranked is way harder the Normal/Quick Games.

But in Tekken 8 its the other way around like barel6 have 38% win rate quick while 50% in Ranked.

Sometimes i just want play for fun and don't stress about points but i just get stomped.

Like last friday examaple before ranked i went quick match

Quick match 0w 7L

Ranked 11W 6L

What do you all think about this?

Do you all find this anoying too or never plat quicks?

Best gamepad that survives heavy input pressure 🎮💥😅

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for recommendations on the best gamepad for Tekken and could use some advice from people with experience.

For context: I mostly play on PS5 and have been using the DualSense. I also tried a custom version of the DualSense with mechanical buttons, a mechanical d-pad, and mechanical L1/L2/R1/R2. Honestly, it felt amazing. The separated d-pad inputs gave me much more precise directional inputs, and having the back paddles was super convenient.

The problem: the d-pad gave out after about two months. I sent it back, got a replacement, and the exact same thing happened again. My conclusion is that I’m just a hard presser 🤷‍♂️ electrics and similar inputs aren’t fully in my muscle memory yet, so I tend to press fast and hard, and the mechanical d-pad couldn’t take it.

So my question is: are there any controllers out there that have separated/individual d-pad buttons (or something equivalent that gives precise directional input), are generally well-suited for fighting games, and can actually survive someone who hits the inputs hard?

Edit: I know, that Leverless etc. are the better option for most people, but I’d like to stay with a Pad, for casuality reasons. :)
