Best gamepad that survives heavy input pressure 🎮💥😅
Hey everyone,
I’m looking for recommendations on the best gamepad for Tekken and could use some advice from people with experience.
For context: I mostly play on PS5 and have been using the DualSense. I also tried a custom version of the DualSense with mechanical buttons, a mechanical d-pad, and mechanical L1/L2/R1/R2. Honestly, it felt amazing. The separated d-pad inputs gave me much more precise directional inputs, and having the back paddles was super convenient.
The problem: the d-pad gave out after about two months. I sent it back, got a replacement, and the exact same thing happened again. My conclusion is that I’m just a hard presser 🤷♂️ electrics and similar inputs aren’t fully in my muscle memory yet, so I tend to press fast and hard, and the mechanical d-pad couldn’t take it.
So my question is: are there any controllers out there that have separated/individual d-pad buttons (or something equivalent that gives precise directional input), are generally well-suited for fighting games, and can actually survive someone who hits the inputs hard?
Edit: I know, that Leverless etc. are the better option for most people, but I’d like to stay with a Pad, for casuality reasons. :)
