[Fully Lost] Unknown instrumental sample 1980s or 2010s

On June 4, 2023, a snippet of a jazz like instrumental was uploaded to WatZatSong by user “HUnimport”. In the sample description and comments, they clarified that they were asking for the sample used in the song "Clear Sky" by Knowsum, since Knowsum commonly uses samples in his tracks and often pitches them Knowsum likely wasn't the creator of the sample. The snippet was taken from another song by the artist Lunaht_, called "A Moment Without You" which uses the exact same sample as Clear Sky. But since "A Moment Without You" was made over a year after "Clear Sky" meaning it cannot be the origin of the sample either.

The sample wouldn’t receive significant attention until the channel Ford Focus reposted it to YouTube on May 12, 2024, under the title "Lost song (No name)". This upload of the snippet would become popular, gaining over 200,000 views, in large part due to people being recommended the video, and the mid-2024 surge of popular interest in lostwave after Ulterior Motives was found. Not much information was discovered about the sample besides some people suggesting that it could have originated from the 80s or early 2000s. Knowsum was also contacted by people asking about the sample’s origin but didn’t respond back. Lunaht\_ would also be contacted and mentioned that they were suspended and couldn’t see their watch history but said if they are remembering correctly the sample probably came from some obscure city pop channel. Considering AMWY released in 2021, the video upload (if the channel is still around) was from before that. Likely 2020 or more earlier. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Unidentified 2000s/90s German Eurodance Song With Simpson’s Samples

Song was uploaded to youtube in 2008 by a channel called MontyBurner in a Simpsons AMV titled “Ay Caramba”. In the description it’s listed as “unofficial simpsons song preview”. The song features several Simpson clips and samples.

It also says “Ay Caramba - Lisa’s Gang” in the description which I’m not sure of whether or not it’s meant to be a song credit or general description.

I found another upload of the same AMV by a channel called Abandonado from 2010 (https://youtu.be/FHeAUsd\_TYg?si=w\_QSXM6VtCTRPjSj).

The song can loosely be described as eurodance with a sound reminiscent of the late 90s & early 2000s.

The beginning of the song is almost beat for beat a rip off of the song “Best Friend” by the Danish group Toy Box, which released in 1999. This song was most likely released afterwards, putting it in 2000s territory.

There’s a running theory that the original video uploader possibly being the song’s creator, which I find to be unlikely as the video is very reminiscent of fan videos from the time. It is also possible the Simpsons clips and samples were added in post and not in the original song.

Please help me find the full song - To Bend The Lines by Slippy

“To Bend The Lines” by Slippy aka Rob/Robert Impala was featured in Friday Night Lights (Season 3, Episode 9, around 23:37–25:16) but the track doesn’t exist anywhere online... no working links, no uploads, nothing.

Shazam identifies it as ‘To Bend The Lines’ by Slippy, but provides no playable source.

The youtube link below is the only clip I’ve been able to find of them (their song that's not the one i'm looking for starts around 51:25 , although its mislabeled, the real name for the song in this youtube video is "I wanna be a rock star")

A old Metro Silicon Valley article that mentions Slippy being on a local compilation CD (“Support Your Local Musician”), so I know they were part of the San Jose scene around that time:

'Key To Eternity' - A personal unknown track from the unlicensed FM broadcast.

Does someone knows the author behind this obscure trance song?

Recorded this on the first of july 2025, from a nameless and unlicensed FM radio station. It only transmitted trance music, mostly well known, but at times rarest songs. Even without commentary at all. I wasn't interested in the station at the time, only recorded like 4 songs, listened for some time and switched to other stations. The intro is missing, because I shazamed it first, instead of recording the full song. The station is no longer in broadcast.

Unknown 80s Music Video

This video originated from a 1987 music video contest hosted on the British television show The Tube. The Tube challenged viewers to create a music video using a limited budget and specific equipment. This was one of the five finalists for the contest. It didn't win because the judges didn't think it was original enough compared to the winner.

Has anyone discovered any new information about the lostwave song “Follow Your Star” being featured in the movie Мой парень-ангел, or was this already known before?

I recently came across information suggesting that part of the lostwave song “Follow Your Star” was used in the movie Мой парень-ангел, not the full track. I’m not sure if this was already widely known in the community or if it’s a newer discovery.

I also know that the song was reportedly made for a Disney ride around 2004, and that it was never actually used for whatever ride it was made for. But I don’t understand how it would have ended up in a 2011 movie that was only released in Russia.

I also noticed that Wikipedia lists the film’s composer as Gary Miller, which matches the name attached to the lostwave song, and he is credited for the film’s music. It has been confirmed that Gary Miller has passed away, so I am not sure how we can move forward in solving this.

Does anyone have any ideas on how this song could have ended up in the film or where to look next?

“Piano Drums Synth Choir” identified

One of the songs from Boards of Canada’s Societas X tape, nicknamed “Piano Drums Synth Choir”, was identified today, apparently by the user Pace.

The song is “echolocation” by “flangerine”, found in the archives of now-defunct music sharing platform “mp3.com”

lost MERCY MUSIC EP Captain of the Men of Death

I have 2 MP3 files from the old website from 2013 and it's sort of confirms that there is a physical cd release of it however, it's almost completely lost and was only sold in Las Vegas, the songs we do have are track 1 Undone and track 3 We Are the Worst, from their old Bandcamp crawls the other tracks were Fine, With Love, and Bird of Death.
