One of the songs from Boards of Canada’s Societas X tape, nicknamed “Piano Drums Synth Choir”, was identified today, apparently by the user Pace.

The song is “echolocation” by “flangerine”, found in the archives of now-defunct music sharing platform “mp3.com”

Both the song and artist are extremely obscure, and don’t seem to have had a presence outside of mp3.com. Makes me wonder how Boards of Canada had even discovered this song in the first place.
