What happened to Castro?

Are Logic and Castro still good? I feel like it’s been a minute since we’ve heard from Castro. Anyone know? Or am I overthinking lol.

I'm hearing more and more people talking negatively about Logic, that he's scamming his audience, etc. Could someone explain what's going on?

I'm not that immersed in the Logic community, so I would be very grateful for any answers 🙏

Cowboy Bebop Album Scrapped?

Nobody probably knows the answer for this for sure, but since “Catch Me if You Can” is on Rooster Jenkins, does that mean the bebop album is scrapped? I assume he’d be under a contract with Crunchyroll/Funimation for that and HAS to deliver it if he’s signed off on it.

Rooster is his worst album to date

Here's a rant about why Rooster fucking sucks and is his worst project to date

Firstly, he used an AI cover, as confirmed by using your eyes and any AI-detection site. It's just a screen-grab from the movie Unforgiven ran thru some horrible AI enhancer. He was literally commissioning an artist to make him a cover and movie poster in 2022, so why it's AI I don't know.

Most of the album isn't even 2022 Rooster, which was done and being cleared as of August 2022. Disengaged, the one modern Logic grail which was made FOR Rooster is not here, but the following series of already-released or reused songs are!

Soulfood III (Recorded as Still Pushin then stem edited onto a new beat for SF3)

Grits was reused from MadGic title track (at least partially)

Catch Me If You Can (Made for the scraped Bebop album)

Tokyo For Ransom (made for 9)

Raiders of the Lost Art (made for MadGic)

Supreme (Released on Discord last year, made for scrapped Louis Brothers collab album)

Call Them Less is from halfBREED, AKAI was scrapped from Vinyl Days because the sample was instantly denied, which means he likely didn't clear shit for this.

In addition, multiple songs are just beats instead of just dropping finished songs that have been release-ready since 2022. Even one of the beats was released in the Ultra 85 audiobook.

The only songs on this that are from the OG version of Rooster are:

Top Flight

Metal Gear

Gunslinger

Logic Unchained

The Darjeeling Unlimited

Grits

Logic

Reaching Through The heavens (of all 2022 to drop we drop the one about how hes not doing Ultra 2 years after Ultra came out, makes sense right?)

Every song got 1-2 mixes at most, which is why they sound muddy and have loud ass vocals. All the OG filenames are accessible via hex editors, and have bounce dates ranging from March 4 - March 16, meaning the album has been done for damn near a month yet he couldn't get off his lazy ass to release it within the week he promised.

If you're going to scrap every previewed song people actually want, at least drop NEW songs from old albums. We don't need to hear 5-year old songs we heard 3 years ago.

This shit is more disrespectful than anything pertaining to the blu rays yet. Making fans wait 4 years for this slop is unreal.

TLDR: another classic Logic rework butchering what should've been one of his best albums to date

Logics career ended with Ultra 85.

Let’s just all agree that Ultra 85 is Logics last album. Whatever he is doing now aren’t real albums. They are just throwaway/unreleased songs to drip feed his fanbase to milk them of their money cause his money is getting low. He is blowing all his money to make movies that will not make any money, but uses his fanbase to fund them by making you buy it on DVD by overhyping and over promising unfinished music he has on his laptop. I’m done at helping support his garbage ass movies. Homie isn’t a director. He just likes the idea of being one. But in true Logic fashion we all know this isn’t going to last. He will quietly quit and go silent on it. Then act like nothing ever happened. Same thing with his Twitch idea. Same thing with his Discord idea. Same thing with his podcast idea. Same thing with his interview idea. Same thing with his YouTube idea. Same thing with his vlog idea. The cycle continues like it always does with him. Don’t be fooled anymore. We all see what it is now. Logic has become a major grifter and scam artist. The Logic we knew is officially no more. His career is over.

Vinyl Days is amazing.

I still find it crazy how Vinyl Days was made in 2 weeks and is one of my fav logic albums, then it took over 4 years to make Rooster.

Y’all are hating on Rooster, meanwhile I’m loving it 🤷‍♂️

From the moment the Blu-Ray’s were announced and Logic/Bob said he’d release 5 albums to go along with them, I immediately looked at these 5 albums as Logic’s version of Madlib’s “The Brick”.

“The Brick”/“Medicine Show” series was a plethora of projects full of sounds and genres Madlib played with and released in the early 2010s and it’s fiiiiiiiiiiiire 🔥🔥🔥 If you’ve never checked it out, I highly highly recommend you do so. 13 projects: All the Odd projects are original Madlib works while the Even projects are Madlib mixtapes/DJ mixes (#2 Flight to Brazil is absolutely amazing, and you know damn well Madlib didn’t clear any samples for it lol. Go look at the vinyl version of it and read the back. The manufacturer of that record called Madlib out for that while still praising how exceptional the music was).

My expectations with these 5 Logic albums released with the purchase of the Blu-Ray (and of course y’all are already sharing files so it’s not like if you didn’t buy a Blu-Ray you can’t just go and download the files somewhere for free) were to experience Logic experimenting with sounds. AND IN MY OPINION, I’M LOVING WHAT I’M HEARING!! This is coming from a huge Logic fan and supporter. I’ve been rocking with dude since he was on Dizzy Wright’s “Untouchable”, and when he was on Sway way back in the day, and I couldn’t wait for “Under Pressure” to release.

Can an artist experiment?? As soon as Logic releases anything other than an Ultra 85 / No Pressure type album, it’s “ohhhh he fell off. I knew when he dropped Ultra 85 that would be it for him”… bruh, are we not hearing the same thing on Rooster 😭? I completely understand the complaint that some throwaways have been put on the project and some verses have been reused. I love “Inglorious Basterd” and I honestly wasn’t too happy to hear the verse of “Still Pushin” on “Soulfood III”, but what I do like is that verse now sits in its own production. And honestly, the production of each track and the sequencing from track to track flows so well in my opinion on Rooster. The lyrics, Logic’s flows, the beats, the soundscaping and world building… isn’t this what we like about Logic? The stories he paints, the way he rhymes, etc… imagine if Rooster would’ve been like BT3. Y’all are treating it like it’s BT3 and I don’t think it should be at all. Give this project some flowers.

Y’all hated on “Information Overload” when it released, said it was a blatant Tame Impala rip-off. Sure I get it, but still, the music sounded good 🤌🤌🤌 I can’t tell you how many times I’ve listened to that project. The intro is fire with that sample (go listen to the song “Still Praying” by Westside Gunn. I know that’s not the original sample, I’m just saying I love how Gunn and Logic used the same sample and it fits so well on each respective project). The “Linger” sample on the outro of “Information Overload” is peak man. Drive late at night with the windows down bumping that track and tell me life isn’t peak.

The Audio Cinematic moments on Rooster are awesome too!! I feel as if Bob’s vision of creating something similar to Orson Welles’s “The War of the Worlds” where you put headphones on and you’re fully immersed in the world was actualized very well. Again, give this project some flowers and watch, some of y’all’s opinions are gonna change in the coming weeks.

I’m enjoying this experimental Logic project run and I’m excited for what’s to come!!
