r/LineDancing

Pretty much the title. I go dancing a few times a month and I feel like I am picking things up more, and I write down the steps and try to review them between but feel like I am always picking it up sort of from scratch on the open floor when I restart again except with super duper easy dances like Fireball. I pick them up faster and faster each time, but it would be nice if I just remembered them from the last time instead!

How long do you usually stay at the honky tonk?

How many line dances do they usually play, and about how many of those do you actually do?

And what makes for a good honky tonk as well as a good line dancing session?

beginner.. don’t know where to start

so my coworker has been inviting me line dancing, i’ve gone twice. first time i mostly watched and just had a few drinks. second time i tried i to pick up some dances from the sidelines. i want to get in there and just try but i don’t want to be in anyone’s way or anything like that especially that i don’t know the dances. i have a bit of a dance background growing up so i know i’ll be able to pick it up fast, i’m just struggling knowing what are some good dances to learn starting oht. any song recommendations or other advice is very much welcome!!

What are the top 3+ "corrupted" line dances?

By corrupted, I don't mean anything negative. Rather, that the line dance has deviated from the original step sheet significantly, that the deviation is now the new normal? What is the deviation and what is the original step?

🤠🔥 BootStepper Top 10 Line Dances by Difficulty 🔥🤠

I’ve broken down the Top 10 most-playlisted line dances by difficulty level, so you can find the perfect dance for where you are right now 👢🎶

Check out the Top 10 for:

🌱 Absolute Beginner
⭐ Beginner
🚀 Improver
🔥 Intermediate
🏆 Advanced

For anyone who hasn’t come across BootStepper yet, it’s a line dancing platform I built to help dancers, instructors, choreographers, DJs, and event organisers find, organise, share, and use line dance information more easily.

It includes 160,000+ step sheets, choreographer and song info, demo/teach videos, collections, live event tools, song swaps, line dance radio, choreographer profiles, event discovery, AI step sheet uploads, custom step sheets, printable PDFs, and a growing charts hub for discovering what people are dancing, learning, teaching, requesting, and playlisting.

The new Customisable Top Dance Charts let you filter charts by things like difficulty, dance release year, choreographer country, popularity timeframe, and more — so instead of one generic leaderboard, you can find the dances that match exactly what you’re looking for.

So for this post, I’m spotlighting the most-playlisted dances by level. Whether you’re just starting out or looking for your next challenge, hopefully there’s something here for you to discover.
