good morning, I need to replace my 2019 Ford fusion titanium hybrid because of it being totaled in a rear end accident. I’m looking for a low luxury upgrade so I would like to purchase a used MKZ. My fusion had 150,000 miles on it, but was running like a top and the interior was close to flawless. The insurance settlement probably won’t even cover or comparable fusion hybrid, but I will dig into my pocket for the MKZ hybrid. I’m looking for advice on which year and trim to go with starting with a 2017 a newer model. I’m a big fan of the hybrid system and I know it will be reliable. Thanks in advance.
A mix of rural hills, a little highway and not driving completely like an old man. Pretty impressed with the 2.0 and Hybrid! Gets better MPG than my RAV4.
I really do like how it shows you the avaliable battery life in a way that isn't distracting.
Pretty impressed with this MKZ!
I need to remove the head rests from my back seats. I can get them loose, but I need to flip the 60/40 seats forward to remove them completely.
I'm at a loss how to flip the seat backs forward. The hybrid battery is behind the seats so I know there has to be some simpler access. My car does not have any obvious levers up near the head rest, nor pulls in the trunk (like in a Ford Fusion)
I'm wracking my brain, because I can see & feel that they are hinged and able to pivot forward but I can't find the release!
Please help me! All my Google-Fu & YouTube searches come up with videos that have very obvious levers / latches, which my car does not seem to have.
Do I need to remove the trunk liner or the seat side panel?? Thank you folks!
My car has always idled a little rough for the first ten or so miles right after filling up with gas. I've learned you're not supposed to keep pumping once the handle clicks off. I normally don't run the car while pumping but when I do, the engine will idle rough while the tank is filling all the way from empty to full. I found the purge valve assembly and noticed a mechanic had broke and then tried to glue the connector back together. Would this be the culprit of the rough idle? It's the top hose coming from the split hose after the purge valve solenoid, going into the air intake manifold I believe. I highly doubt the dealership I use will fess up to the break. What does this broken hose actually do?
Went to look at the Canister Purge Valve Assembly and found a prior mechanic had broke a connector and tried to fix it with some epoxy I think. Wow. Looks like I have to replace the larger part the purge valve connects into? Does anyone know the part number? Thanks.
