Anyone else love the sounds this car makes?

This is probably controversial, but I love the fake engine and braking noise. It give me vibes that cross between a space ship and a void creature.

What I really like is that it’s not there most of the time. Only during hard acceleration or breaking. So I don’t get tired of it, and when it does come on, I’m pleasantly surprised.

There’s also something pleasant but luxurious about the external car lock and unlock sound. Not a harsh beep like other cars, just smooth and inviting.

What I hated was the internal reverse sound. When I first got the car I was astounded how annoying loud it was. Fortunately you can ask Lexus to disable it, which improved the driving experience immensely.

The external reverse sound is so quiet I’m surprised it’s legal, but I guess there are some EVs (Teslas I think) that don’t turn there’s on at all.

Average Miles / kWh

Just curious what everyone is averaging in real world Miles per kWh.

‘26 350e premium, only 600 miles, but lifetime average of 4.4. This is my first EV, and that seems pretty good to me!

What are your averages? Or what are some of the best (or worst) trip averages you have seen.

Bought 350 RZ Directly Out of State

I was seeking a base 350 RZ without the glass roof, preferring the cooler interior and longer range relative to the 350 Premium or 450s with glass tops and larger wheels. No dealers in Maryland had the base version, so i ordered directly from a dealer in Ohio. Very pleased with the supper quiet car. Ordered Caviar with the light Palomino interior.

Charging

Okay, the only (but very big) issue I have with my car is charging outside of home. I have a trip coming up and I need to be and to know it will charge at non home chargers.

Before I messed with the charging schedules, it charged great, no issues, super easy.

I set schedules and hit issues. I initially had a schedule in the infotainment system, and have now deleted all schedules from the infotainment system and the Lexus app as far as I can tell, and I only have a schedule now in the charge point app for the home charger. It's been days since I set it up like this.

When I plug it in at work, it's a solid green light for a second, and then flashes green rapidly, and then turns off. And it doesn't charge. The dash only says the charge point lid is open. The car is unlocked. I have the key on me.

I don't know if this eco charging that toggles on everytime I toggle off the schedule in the app, but either way it's not working.

Have any of you run into this issue? What do I do?

EDIT: It was my adapter. The adapter going bad at the same time as putting schedules on my car was a coincidence. I got a new adapter and now the charger is working.

Battery Telemetry Not Connecting to the Cloud

I've signed out, signed in, uninstalled, and reinstalled the iOS app. I've rebooted the head unit (press and hold the volume knob for 10-15 seconds), and my iOS app (and logging into lexus.com) both show -1 for battery percentage and range.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this? The remote control functions still work (start, unlock, etc. and notifications).

2025 RZ 350e with 6,000 miles on it.

Service at 5k miles?

My RZ just reached 5k miles and it’s been bothering me to get maintenance done. Is it necessary or can I wait till 10k? my tires are fine and the windshield wiper fluid is pretty much full.

For anyone who bought in May I'm curious what price you are getting? Looks like they dropped the lease cash back to $6,500. How much off MSRP have you gotten? I'm in SoCal with limited supply (put a deposit down and currently waiting for a car to arrive) and worried there won't be much room to negotiate.

The $2475 is from Costco auto. They can't even give me the mats! CMON MAN! Is this a good deal for SFL? I see people getting it under $50k he said the dealership is NOT giving any discounts because of scarcity excuses excuses. I am gonna try to get the filing fee out the way, anything else i should be fighting about?

Battery drain while parked but listening to music?

Not looking to 'borrow' trouble, but curious if this is how the RZ batteries work too. When sitting and listening to music with the car off, does the power come from the 12 V battery? And would it be better to have the car “on “so that the big battery continues to charge the 12 V?

For reference comma this is the solution I read for the Lexus NX hybrid. Thoughts?

"Vehicle exit assist deactivated" and won't fold mirror when locking

My RZ suddenly start to not folding mirror when I lock the vehicle. It also display "Vehicle exit assist deactivated" on the display. I am outside the vehicle and trying to lock it. It will lock but won't fold the mirror and it only beeped once not twice. I am not sure what happened. In the settings menu, that assist feature is still on. Any idea?

Lessons in Range

Learned today that I can go 122 miles highway speeds on 50% charge. Rolled in to the driveway with 5 miles of range left.

I believe the range it estimated at 50% was around 155 miles, so actual ended up being about 30 miles less. But that's going about 75 mph the whole way with no AC etc on. I had turned on range mode for the last 80 miles, but didn't feel comfortable going under the 70 mph speed limit.
