Steam punk workshop / need help

Hi team , as you can see in the pictures I am not very good with the studio thingy and mainly use it to get a general idea of what I want and what I'll need so please ignore the couple spare brown cylinder at the bottom (they are for the piping on the side)

So this is inspired by the London industrial revolution.

It's supposed to be a workshop from such time but it feels very bare and I can't see what to add or change so what would you change (note that the mech was found on brick link and not my design but hey it feels in place somewhat )

It will be filled with 7 minifigs when I build it irl.

So yes what would you add maybe of the back wall or the floor ?

I just rediscovered lego MOC-building as a hobby and I am currently building a 1/12 scale moc which is powered by four buggy motors. The Lego infrared receiver and remotes I own don't seem to be working properly anymore. I guess it's because I haven't used them for the last ten years.

So I'm looking for alternatives. I am owning about fifty lego power functions-motors and would like to use them in the future. I heard about Lego Poweded Up, BuWizz, Sbrick, Cada and Mould King. Please correct me, If I am wrong:

  1. Lego Powered Up: Only works with battery box and motors specifically made for this system

  2. BuWizz: Needs a 300 € battery box, comes with a smartphone app and works with my lego power functions motors

  3. Sbrick: Seems to be not available anymore

  4. Cada and Mould King: They sell remotes and receivers that look like the old lego power funcions remotes and reveivers (or at least look similar). Are they 100 % compatible? Do remotes from Cada or Mould King work with lego receivers or the other way round?

(Mould King has a smartphone app that seems to be a huge data octopus. I find this so distasteful that I would like a "clean" solution.)

I bought some instructions off of Rebrickable and I have not been able to figure out how to make the underside connectors more stable.

It's a hexagon, the underside has technic hole pieces attached to a paddle attached to an open O clip attached to a triangle base that's slightly elevated so the whole thing can spin. The problem is that the paddles often disconnect from the O clips and it's difficult to get back on and any movement might shake them loose. I don't want to do the unthinkable and Kragl them. I would rather some alternate build that does the same.

I need help figuring out how to add landing gear in this tight space, I’m a really new moc builder/designer. I’m in progress of making all ships from the game No Man’s Sky and starting on the fighter class. I have the landing gear base and cockpit pretty much fully designed, but wouldn’t mind any advice, suggestions, or criticism! I’m also designing the landing platform as a display stand for all the ships.
