Would the XP 2.0 Lite be too small?
I'm about to bite with the Memorial Day sale here but was wondering what the best one for me would be. I'm just a casual rider with occasional short-range commute (less 10-15 miles weekly).
I was initially going to get the XP Lite 2.0 but then took that eBike quiz on their website. It recommended the XP4 step-through instead (not sure why the other frame wasn't recommended), but I don't know if it's just trying to upsell because it looks to be a bit overkill. Is it mainly because my height? (6'3")?
I did it!
Finally I got the lock on the XP4 mounted where I want it (the hardest place ever)
Cargo trailers for XP4?
Hey everyone,
Im looking to make some Costco trips on the XP4 and I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a cargo trailer? I’d be looking for it to carry about 100 lbs as I’d use it for other things too.
I was looking at a Vevor trailer that had walls that fold down but saw it’s for wheels from 22” to 28” only.
Anyone ever replaced this whole lever? Does Lectric send them out? Somehow I doubt it but they are actually easy to pop out and I found a source for what appears to be the genuine article.
Anybody using FlatOut? How much of the 32oz bag for each tire. XP Lite 2.0.
Thanks!
Error after installing second light.
So I installed the second light people post the most about here that you buy on Amazon with the factory light attached to the frame. Both lights run off a y splitter cable and although both work I get an error code when I try to use the throttle with the lights on so I'm guessing the second light is drawing too much power. When the lights are off the throttle works fine. Is there a way to have two lights and not get this error code?
Xpedition 2.0 headlight fail….after 60 miles
Got my xpedition 2 on Wednesday - have put 60-65 miles on it the last few days. Had the head/tail lights set for the blink function - last night noticed the headlight isn’t actually working anymore. Tried turning them on…nothing. Turned off the blink setting nothing. Tail lights are fine. Unplugged and plugged back in the unit. Loving the bike but what the hell?
Bought XP Lite 2.0
I did get these accessories for free for the Mother's Day special.
Hey Guys -
My son's 14th birthday is in a few days and I splurged and got him an e-bike. I got the XP Lite2 - Long Range. He has been asking for an e-bike for forever and I know he will be excited! I need your help though. I have no idea what other accessories to get and would love to hear from you guys what are recommended. I did get the accessories above for free for the Mother's Day special. I also have a 3D printer, so I was going to print a charging block wall mount for in the garage.
Any advice on what locks/water bottle holders to get? Any other accessories I should look at? I don't have lots of money (especially after purchasing this bike, ha) but want to make sure its as safe, useful and comfortable as possible.
Thanks!
I’m thinking about getting a Lectric XPress for $999, but I worry that there’s no place to get service if necessary. I’m also eyeing the comparable Aventon Level3, because there’s a dealer in the next town over—but that bike is $1700. Is it really worth the extra $700 just to know I can get service? Thanks!
Better seat than comfort package?
I have about 2500 miles on my lectric xp4, the seat is starting to deteriorate and I’m wondering if there’s a better option that would work with the suspension post that came with it?
Nice Trip to a Local Bridge
Not much to say other than enjoying my XP4 750! Wanted to show it off as a landmark of getting to this spot, almost 5 miles away from my place, in 13 minutes.
So I recently just bought a brand new XP2 bike as my first e-bike, and not more than three days in I’m already having trouble. I took it out on the second day, brought it back in fully charged expecting it to be fine today, however I go to take it out today and it’s not working?
I’ve tried charging the battery but it was already fully charged. I’ve checked the wiring but everything seems okay. When I left it the previous night it was working perfectly but the next day I go to ride it’s no longer turning on. I’m very frustrated because I didn’t get the warranty and I just found out they don’t do returns. I can’t seem to diagnose the issue and there aren’t any shops by me that take repairs for e-bikes.
For as much money as I spent for this stupid bike I really regret buying it. Feels like a waste of money, time, and quite honestly my fucking patience.
I recently got an Lectric XP4 after looking at it for quite some time now. Pine green. And oh boy, I've been super enjoying riding it! I've lost some weight from doing so, and it's been incredibly liberating to find myself rolling through the city I live in on it with minimal problems.
However, there's one thing that's been making me wonder: what tires would be best for this once the current ones give out or go bald? I like the grip the ones currently have, but looking at the website it doesn't look like the XP4 'standard' tires are available for sale. Anyone got any ideas on anything close? Or how do the tires offered on the site compare to the standard?
Edit: I should clarify I bought directly from Lectric and the website in question for the tires is Lectric Bikes.
How is Best Buy Geek Squad? Better then Lectric Warranty services?
Best Buy has a pack for the XP4 750 that includes the seat instead of a phone stand. Yet they don't have an extension on the warranty like Lectric.
If I go through them it's like 199$ for two year extension. It's 299$ for Geek Squad for Two years, but they offer a bunch of services, and have locations!
Then again I don't know if that's entirely correct as I can't get any information on it when I went to buy it at Best Buy.
Then I was thinking... Not even sure how good Best Buy is now these days. I always heard good things on Geek Squad back in the day, but definitely depended on who you get.
Any help would be appreciated.
PS. Bonus question. Is the Step Over better at modding?
me and cars have a very complicated history. Recently I got to my limit and hated being in my clunker of a car. So I pulled the trigger on this, and I've never felt more free than when I'm cruising on this with some music in my ears
so I bought my bike in June last year so I’m still under warranty. I currently have about 4000 miles on my bike. I’ve never been able to take the battery out the bike since I got it because whatever they pack the battery with is in they’re so tight I cannot pull it myself physically I just have the bike in the shop a couple months ago to fix the freeway. I got it back in the tire flat. I fixed that new brake. I started getting this E006 code. I opened up the battery and noticed that the batteries was slid maybe a quarter of a centimeter out when I push it back in and close the full mechanism of the time the battery resets to normal one of the prongs is black. the battery is getting hot now E006 every time I hit a bump and I can’t ride the bike over PAS one to two maybe. The following mechanism is not saying all the time it is very flimsy because I’ve had to open it so many times to push the battery back in. It wasn’t doing it very frequently, but it has picked up constantly. Every bump I hit every little bump. I can’t even ride it and it’s the beginning of summer and I’ve had it less than a year. I’m severely pissed off and I don’t know what to do. I’m gonna reach out to them, but I really am thinking that because it has 4000 miles on the bike that this is it this is not going to work. Also the following mechanism I have tightened it. It’s not.
I am enjoying this
For a little context, last year I had to buy an electric scooter out of necessity. My car broke down and the cheapest way for me to be able to still travel to work was to buy a cheap e-scooter the same day. I bought a GoTrax Advance XR. Got me to work and back home no problem, but it gave me this rekindling of my love for 2 wheeled transport. I walked or biked everywhere for my whole life up until I got my first car at 28 years old.
The scooter was nice, but after watching videos and getting used to it, I started wanting more power. By that I mean speed as well as battery life/mileage. I started looking into more powerful scooters until someone suggested to get a bike instead. After much deliberation on what I wanted vs my budget, I decided on the XP4.
This thing is leagues better than the scooter I was using. With a little adjustment, I can easily hit 30mph and keep up in traffic, but the slower modes on it are great for going through forest paths and parks. The picture I took is just as I reached 100 miles on the odometer. It's still pretty new, but I'm always wanting to go on rides. I can go about 25ish miles on a charge, and that's using the turbo mode for most of it. I'm sure with the lower pedal assist I could easily get 40 or more miles.
But now, after only 100 miles, I still want more power! It will be quite a while before I buy a new one, but does anyone have a suggestion as to what I should look for next? I like the idea of something as fast as a Surron or similar, but hoping not to drop 6k on it unless I absolutely know it's worth it. Should I get another bike or look into electric dirt bikes? All I know is I want something faster, I'm just not quite sure what to look for because of how flooded the market is with weird brands.
Anyway, I love this bike and I hope it continues to be as much fun as it's been so far!
Bike Lock Question
As stated above: what bike locks do you guys recommend? I need something strong and hard to break through since XP4 750s are quite a bit of money.
Does anyone have any suggestions... Gear 3 is essentially non-functional: the chain jumps erratically and the pedals fail to engage the rear gears. This issue does not occur in any other gear. Happens every time I'm in Gear 3.
