Can we talk about Zhrisezlava?
So. At this point i feel like I can talk about these now. Ive acquired all the ones I wanted so dont have to worry about people seeing this and clearing out the inventory like I've been seeing done to every other lava lamp for the last few months. So that being said. Ive seen a few of these floating around in discussion and thought id show what they can look like...as opposed to how they arrive. Zhrisezlava is available on Amazon and the reviews are terrible. Rightly so. The master fluid is the clarity of house paint and the wax is full of chunks of questionable stuff....however. I love the shape...like alot. Way more than original lava lamp design. And I know its not an original design ive seen similar from other major lava lamp makers but these give off much more of the modern art esthetic without a massive price tag. Ive been working on these consistently since i got them. Im up to 4. Orange, purple/burgundy (basically a deep wine at this point), blue, and black. All got new master fluid from ozone gifts and filtered and dyed waxes. Dimmer switchs and 30 watt bulbs. The result in my opinion is frankly beautiful lamps. That if you buy with the intent of "restoring" are well worth the $35us price tag. Ill post some pics of before and after in the comments for reference on what to expect if you order them.
Gifting grande to the little girl next door.
The little girl next door went through a terrible tragedy. Her and her older brother watched a bear kill her mother a few years ago. She was just a baby then. She has been watching my lamps through my living room window since then.
Her dad mentioned to me a while ago that she had asked about a lava lamp. At first I told him where he could go to get one for her but the more I thought about it I decided I would make one for her. She was used to looking at my Grande lamps and I sort of didn't think that a little one was what she wanted. Her dad told me that she wanted one with pink wax.
I found the pink wax very difficult to achieve. I tried three separate times but the wax always ended up looking Orange. So I took a different approach with this one. I went with white wax in Violet Master fluid. And it has achieved the pink that I was looking for.
I hope she enjoys this lamp. She deserves it.
Lava lamp pixel art!
I hope this type of post is welcome! I made this little pixel art animation years ago and just stumbled upon it again, thought this sub might enjoy. 🥰

Coachlite restoration help
I am hoping to restore this coachlite without losing the original wax. The master fluid is crystal clear and the coil doesn’t seem to be in bad condition. I don’t see any visible debris in the wax.
When the lamp is off, the wax forms into a solid mass. When it is turned on, it throws hundreds of tiny wax balls and the majority of the wax forms into 1 or 2 big blobs that kinda float around near the bottom and don’t go back down to the coil. It seems like the tiny wax balls are coming off the coil itself. It doesn’t really snake at all like I would expect.
Should I filter the wax? Should I remove masted fluid and try to melt down to recombine the wax? Replace the coil?
I don’t have much experience with very old lamps like this one, so any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
Edit: I do have oneshot vintage to replace the fluid if I absolutely have to, but I’d rather keep it original if it can be salvaged. 😭
Stary night
Final replacement bottle, finally a perfect bottle ✨
Found this. Google said it’s exceptionally rare
What’s this worth??
Filter or leave it?
Just looking for second opinions
I Finally Did It! First Custom Lamp
Hand-painted, custom-mixed, and officially flowing. 🎨🔥 Spent some time DIY-ing this piece from top to bottom, including the master fluid. The photo(s) makes the wax look a little brighter than it appears in person. Its like a dark plum, almost black wax. I've been through the roof excited finishing this one up. What do we think of the color combo?
It isn't a lava lamp but we all understand.
I found this at the Goodwill Bins. It is missing a few pieces technically because it came with 32 originally. But pretty neat. A fun idea. You can move the blocks around. They all have lights in them. We all love lamps right?
Lavalamp not bright
Hello! My lovely boyfriend got me a lavalamp last week. It was secondhand but came with a new light bulb. Unfortunately, as you can see the blobs become dark as they float up because the light does not penetrate through the whole lamp. Is there any way I can fix this?
Overheating?
Pretty much what the title says. It does fall back but most of the time it sits at the top. It's also quite hot to the touch.
