A few months ago LC250 in Quebec
It was my first time in Canada. Couldn't believe how much gunk there was on cars over there. Not used to it coming from the west coast. Gave the car some character!
Land Cruiser colors underwhelming
As the title says. Been passively looking at the current Land Cruiser for the past couple years. About to maybe jump on one but one thing that has been underwhelming is the colors. If I am going to buy a vehicle this expensive I want to love the color. The color options are just trash. Just white, grey, and black with a mid shade of blue and tan. I don’t mind the basic colors you have to have them but the other colors being offered don’t excite me. They aren’t even really rotating colors like they do with other models. When I heard the 2027 had a new color I was happy just to be sad when I found out it was a new black color. I prefer the Lexus GX colors. The trail dust color doesn’t look as good as the mud bath on the Tacoma. Everest from the 4Runner would look nice on the Land Cruiser. Maybe more classy color options like they had on the older land cruisers. Am I alone on this?
I definitely appreciate it and enjoy the LC the more I drive/the longer I own it. Especially after coming from the Grenadier ownership experience.
Looking for feedback before I pull the trigger
About to pull the trigger on a premium. Currently have a 2026 Ram RHO which averages about 14mpg and is a nightmare to park along a street and several parking garages. Looking for feedback from users on any regrets or issues with your LC or if I should keep looking for other options to replace the R
Title really.
I have a 2026 and it came with nitto ridge grapplers 265/70 from the dealership.
I do a decent mix of highway/stop and go driving and I’m fighting for my life to make 17.5 mpg and range is barely 250miles.
When I fill up, my tank is showing 1/4 full and a range of about 65 miles and it’s accepting about 12 gallons.
Am I doing something wrong, is something way off, or is this just life and I need to chill?
Pic for fun, I’m the blue. Found a parking buddy.

Edit: Thank you all for the responses. I have about 2k on the clock. I typically drive in eco around town and normal on the highway. I’ll switch to normal full time and see if that helps.
I’ve been seeing some hybrid engagement but not a ton, and it may be that my drives are shorter than the hybrid would like right now.
Eco mode
Now that my LC250 is past the first 1000 mile break in, I am wondering about using Eco mode more. I tend to be pretty gentle accelerating, and think I like the early down shifts. Anyone have opinions on whether the turbo 4 may want more revs like in standard mode for longevity? Ie if Eco mode is bad for it?
Less and less 1958 trim?
While the new LC has become a kind of more accessible, and no dealer mark up, it seems to me dealers around my area (NY, lower CT) no longer stock 1958, only the LC trim on the lot. Are you seeing this trend?
LC 250 Premium - Highway instability after wheel/tire swap, seeking diagnosis
Replaced my 2013 GX 460 with a 2026 LC 250 Premium in December. Around 2,700 miles I swapped to GX 550 Overtrail OEM wheels (18x7.5, +50mm offset vs stock +60mm) and Falken Wildpeak AT4W 275/70/18 Load Range E at 40-42 PSI cold.
Had the vehicle aligned by an LC/GX specialist in SoCal. Despite that, the car drives terribly on highway - constant rightward drift, tramlining, left-right hunting on grooved pavement, and just generally exhausting and unsettled. Not harsh - just never planted.
What I've done:
- Road force balanced twice at America's Tire - discovered first shop balanced at 33 PSI door sticker pressure instead of correct 40-42 PSI for E load. Rebalanced correctly, all four corners now at 16-18 lbs
- Front tires swapped side to side as conicity diagnostic — pull didn't clearly reverse
- Alignment confirmed clean — thrust angle 0.00°, camber equal, minor caster split
Now at 6,000 miles with persistent issues.
My theories:
- +50mm vs +60mm offset increasing scrub radius
- 0.13° rear thrust angle from non-adjustable rear toe
- E load stiff sidewalls fighting the LC 250's EPS
- AT4W too aggressive for this platform — considering KO3 or Toyo AT3 as replacement
- Stock suspension underdamped — considering BP-51 install?
Coming from a GX 460 with hydraulic steering so the EPS adjustment is real, but this feels like more than adaptation. Anyone dealt with similar issues?

Owners with Roof Boxes. Access Question: Door Steps vs. Ladders vs. Winging It?
Hey everyone,
I’m looking into installing a roof box on my vehicle, but I’m a bit hung up on the logistics. How are you handling the loading and unloading process?
I’ve been looking at those portable car door steps that hook into the latch.
Basically:
- Do you use a door step, or do you prefer a folding platform/tire step?
- Has anyone had issues with the door latch steps scratching paint or denting the frame?
- How easy is it to get stuff in and out
Thanks for any feedback
Wrappen
Anyone notice if the ac isn’t on that the air has a little bit of a sour smell to it at times? I have a 25 with 5k miles and notice this a couple times a week. Not sure it’s a big deal but I have never noticed this in my other vehicles. It’s been like this since I bought it new and the dealer doesn’t think it’s an issue.
Other than that I love the thing so far.
When starting the car does the LC250 really quiet like other hybrid vehicles?
reddit.comTo my surprise, the on-road and off-road comfort is softer/smoother than OEM. I have around 500-miles of off-road driving on my stock suspension setup in the last 14,000-miles. I wasn't expecting any improvements at all.
To be fair, I have 150-lbs of bull bar and winch up front, so the OEM suspension was well outside of its intended tuning range. There was a 1.75" difference between the front and rear, with all that additional weight up front. Waited for a better solution than ADO springs (using OEM struts not tuned for that spring rate) and/or Westcott products.
So, with these shocks, I'm now leveled all around at 37" from the ground to fender (1.65" setting #4). 9-3/4" of clearance at lowest point on the FE skid plates with 265/70R18 Yokohama Geolander AT XD tires. I want to say on an LC 250 without a winch / bull bar, this would be position #3.
I'm probably one of the first LC 250 owners to install these. I did it in a couple hours using a $30 spring compressor tool in my driveway.
Does anyone have details on these? They look to be sort of similar to some BBS, but much more reasonably priced.
