To my surprise, the on-road and off-road comfort is softer/smoother than OEM. I have around 500-miles of off-road driving on my stock suspension setup in the last 14,000-miles. I wasn't expecting any improvements at all.
To be fair, I have 150-lbs of bull bar and winch up front, so the OEM suspension was well outside of its intended tuning range. There was a 1.75" difference between the front and rear, with all that additional weight up front. Waited for a better solution than ADO springs (using OEM struts not tuned for that spring rate) and/or Westcott products.
So, with these shocks, I'm now leveled all around at 37" from the ground to fender (1.65" setting #4). 9-3/4" of clearance at lowest point on the FE skid plates with 265/70R18 Yokohama Geolander AT XD tires. I want to say on an LC 250 without a winch / bull bar, this would be position #3.
I'm probably one of the first LC 250 owners to install these. I did it in a couple hours using a $30 spring compressor tool in my driveway.
