Hi all, longtime LGR fan, first time posting here... I couldn't find any rules saying that ebay links aren't allowed, and saw others posting them here, so hopefully this is allowed.
Anyway, I came across an early Microsoft CD-ROM that I can't find any other examples of online. I see a handful of period mentions of it, but it shares artwork with a (readily available) book that was published by Microsoft at the same time called "The New Papyrus." It appears to be a demo of an encyclopedia. As far as I can tell, this is about a year before Microsoft's first official commercially released CD-ROM, which LGR did a video about awhile back, so it presumably has some historical value.
I was unable to get this disc to mount on my windows 10 machine, so I decided to put it up for grabs in case someone far geekier than me wants to take a stab at it.
I was browsing Goodwill, living the LGR lifestyle, and I spotted this! The drive is there but sadly not the manuals or disks anymore.
Something about the Colorado branding was just cool. Not sure what it was.
I’d posted my pride and joy elsewhere first, and enjoyed all the LGR references, and this subreddit happened to pop up on my feed.
Long time watcher and enjoyer, and also a fellow enjoyer of woodgrain on tech.
This wrap was to cover a very bad job of trying to remove soft touch coating, though it would likely have ended up with this wrap anyway…
No wrap on the palm rest, as I’d rather keep the main meat of this thing as free of heat-trapping plastic as possible. Pentium M’s are toasty boys. Considering upgrading the 750 up to the 770 or 780? Still haven’t decided yet. This T43 is very loved regardless.
I made the bag for it, and am yet to add an IBM logo to it and maybe add another layer internally to give it more structure (I was being lazy, my other laptop bags have this).Thinking either heat transfer vinyl or computerised embroidery for the logo, I have machines for both processes :)
Found this while thrift shopping today, from what I can find online it was released to promote the IBM Ultimedia Series of software/hardware? I can't find any clear information on it but I thought this sub would find it interesting
Not sure if the video is archived and the swag looking to be in good condition. Looks right up Clint's wheelhouse. Wasn't sure the best way to contact him, hopefully this will do!
