Thinking about fillers in Seoul — any experiences?

I’m planning a trip to Seoul and thinking about trying some beauty-related experiences while I’m there.

I might extend my stay depending on how things go, but I’m currently planning around 1.5 to 2 weeks.

I’ve been looking into things like skin treatments or fillers (maybe Juvegel), but I’m still researching.

Has anyone tried any beauty treatments while visiting Korea? What was your experience like?

my experience getting smile surgery at eos eye center in seoul (as a paranoid foreigner)

i just got back from a 2-week trip to seoul and wanted to share my experience with smile surgery because i know how overwhelming it is to pick a clinic when you're not from korea.

i originally planned my trip mostly for skin treatments like rejuran and some laser stuff, but i’ve been wanting to ditch my glasses for years. since i was already going to be in gangnam, i started doing deep dives into clinics. my biggest fear was ending up at one of those "factory" clinics where you’re just a number and the surgeon barely looks at your eyes for more than 2 minutes.

after weeks of lurking on reddit and naver, i decided on eos eye center. the main reason was their reputation for being "conservative." in the eye surgery world, that’s a good thing, it means they don’t just push surgery on everyone for profit.

the consultation was intense. they ran so many tests i lost count. what really sold me was when the doctor sat down and explained my corneal thickness and why certain options were better for my specific eye shape. they actually told me what they *wouldn't* do, which made me trust them so much more than the places that just say "everything is fine, pay here."

the actual surgery was so fast (maybe 10-15 mins?) and the staff was super patient with my nervous questions in english. recovery was surprisingly easy. i had some dry eyes for a few days, but by the next morning, i could see the street signs from my hotel window clearly. it felt like magic.

if you're heading to korea for beauty/medical tourism, i’d definitely recommend checking them out, but please do your own research too. avoid the massive tourist traps that spend all their money on influencers and look for the places that focus on medical integrity instead.

if anyone has questions about the cost or the recovery process, feel free to ask! just so happy to finally be free from my glasses.

Dr New Cell or Medicube clinic?

Have appointments at both next Thursday for XIRF laser, and open to other non super invasive treatments and not sure which is better. Anyone have experiences with either that can weigh in?

Best souvenir I got in Seoul. My Old Tattoo Recover.

I finally stopped being embarrassed by my old tattoo. 🎀

Found this amazing female artist near Hongdae and she breathed new life into this blurry mess.

If you're in Korea and looking for someone who specializes in delicate line work or saving old pieces, she's definitely the one. So happy with the result!

OVERWHELMED which lifting treatment to get in Seoul?

Hi please help your girl out. 27F visiting Seoul from 29 Apr - 3 May.

Primary concerns:

  1. Acne Scars (Pitted ones)

  2. Pores

  3. Collagen loss

  4. Hair loss

Treatments I've tried:

  1. Potenza RF + Juvelook + Fraxel at Toxnfill Jeju on 6 November 2025 (716,000KRW)

1 week minimal downtime

  1. Erbium Laser + Juvelook Volume via Mirajet at Busan LALA Clinic (recommended by Medicaddy) on 27 March 2026 (1,320,000KRW)

Very bad hyperpigmentation resulting in via long downtime

This is probs my last trip to Korea for the next one year and I want to maximise the treatments to get in Seoul.

For acne scars, I'm planning to try Coratherapy at Rodam Clinic.

Lifting treatments is the one I need help with! Im so overwhelmed by the different lifting treatments available from onda to thermage to ultherapy to titanium to sofwave 😭😭😭

Recommend me the best for 27F looking to prevent loss of collagen as I'm entering my 30s! Bonus points if it helps with double chin too. Need clinic recommendations and price range for reference too!

Drop me any salons recommendations for hair treatments too! Im so scared of my thinning hair and hair loss.

Thanks in advance!!

Places to do digital perm in Seoul?

I’ll be travelling to Seoul in May and am planning to do a digital perm there. I’ve researched on a few hair salons like Juno etc but Park Jun seems to have the least complains? Most of their complains are about the spa treatment and hair dye. Saw that they upsell as well but every salon does that I guess? They’re asking me to put a USD $15 deposit so I want to make sure everything will turn out fine before I confirm my booking.

Has anyone did a perm there and how was it? I’m planning to do it under Jun or Sol.

What K beauty product do you actually repurchase?

I’ve been trying to understand this better.

For those using K beauty outside Korea

What do you actually keep repurchasing?

Not just hype, but something that stayed in your routine.

(Also curious where you’re based, if you don’t mind sharing)

Daniel Parkjun Beauty Lab

Hi, I’m really nervous about getting my hair cut in Seoul because I had a bad experience there before but I really need a haircut due to travelling for so long. I’ve heard 50/50 about Parkjun Beauty Lab but good things about Daniel. I was wondering if anyone’s booked with him and would share their experience?

I’m just looking to get a hair cut and maybe a spa scalp treatment but no perm and no colouring.

Seoul Beauty Trip - April 2026

Sharing my procedures, review & costs (KRW) in a similar format to the post by u/rom3zy as I enjoyed reading theirs.

Beauty background: 39yo, S.E Asian, Concerns with ageing, mid face hollowing, and pigmentation. Previous experience with fillers, botox, microblading, and microneedling. Used social media, google, and Creatrip to plan the trip.

Day 1 – Monday

Activities:

•	Arrived in Seoul- took the Arex from ICN directly to my accommodation (guesthouse in Hongdae - 138,032 KRW for 2 nights)

•	VandS Clinic Hongdae

Treatments: PicoToning, Linear Z (HIFU, 1200 shots), Potenza pore tip with 1cc polynucelotide and 1cc HA boosters (Total 1,171,590 KRW)

• Dinner at Hongojib (13,200 KRW)

Review:

VandS

I was prepared for the clinic being factory style (i.e long wait times, in and out service) but I was NOT prepared for the level of upselling in this clinic. The only things I originally planned for were the pico toning and Potenza but the prices were wildly different (3 to 4x more) to the event prices listed on their website. When the consultant showed their quotes on screen everything was in korean so I totally missed that they put me down for 1200 shots of Linear Z (the only concern I put down was my drooping cheeks so 100-300 shots would have been enough!).

I love the results of PicoToning and Potenza, Linear Z did nothing for me and I could have just done a single booster rather than talked into doing 2.

Hongojib

Great for solo dining and trying out smaller portions of k BBQ

Day 2 – Tuesday

Activities:

•	Haircut at the Days Hair, Hongdae (38,000 KRW)

•	Mani Pedi with cat eye gel at the Nail Box, Hongdae (140,000 KRW for both)

•	Eyelash perm and tint at the Ritual room, Hongdae (40,500 KRW)

•	Shopping in Hongdae and Seongsu

•	Dinner at Gojip (15,000 KRW)

Review:

Days Hair

My hair looks nothing like the picture I showed them, and more like the hairdressers own (go figure). Service was bare bones and they didn't offer any coffee or snacks.

Nail Box

First time with cat eye gel and I can't stop looking at them!

Ritual room

Friendly service. Eyelash perm and tint looked as expected and it doesn't look overprocessed.

Gojip

Again great for solo dining. Had their recommended beef soup set.

Day 3 to 7 – Wed to Sunday

Went to Japan to spend time with Family

Day 8 - Monday

•	Travel back to seoul with husband, stayed in an apartment in Gangnam (274,200 KRW for 3 nights)

•	Dinner at Odarijip (95,000 KRW for 2 people )

Rejuel Clinic

•	Husband had Excel V for spider tenglataestasis on his cheek (69,000 KRW first visit event)

•	I had mole removal around 16 moles of various sizes: 128,000 KRW including purchase of duoderm cover patches from the clinic.

Review:

Odarijip

First time having raw marinated crab. Husband was out of his comfort zone but I enjoyed it!

Rejuel

Compared to the previous clinic I had a great experience. No upselling, no waiting around (except for the numbing cream to take effect), and they spent time afterwards going through the aftercare. Husband says the Excel V actually did something for his condition, compared to the 6x IPL sessions he did previously to no effect.

Day 9 – Tuesday

Activities:

•	Bukchon hanok village and Seoul traditional folk museum

•	Namsan cable car and tower

•	Explored Myeongdong

•	Nanta show

•	Dinner at Moggumung Sinnonhyeon (87,000 KRW for 2 people)

Review:

Bukchon hanok village and traditional folk museum

Good for some photo ops. The palace was closed on a Tuesday hence why we went to the museum instead.

Namsan cable car and tower

1 hour line to get into the cable car - had we known before buying tickets we probably would have skipped this. The top had some good views.

Nanta show

Highly highly recommend, especially if you're already exploring Myeongdong. Such a funny, enjoyable show.

Moggumung

Great k bbq, abit pricier than others but they help you do cooking (so you don't need to do everything yourself). Both locals and foreigners frequent this place.

Day 10 – Wednesday

Activities:

•	Running along the hangang river

•	Back to Rejuel clinic for 2cc juvederm cheek filler and 1cc juvelook eye booster (755,700 KRW for both treatments + 48,000 KRW for the prescription antibiotics and anti swelling from the pharmacy)

•	Delumina beauty for hairline microblading (266,702 KRW)

Review:

Hangang river

Such a relaxing thing to do and to experience local life after all the touristic activities

Rejuel clinic

Same good service and pleased with the result so far. I didn't want tear trough fillers due to concerns with lumps and migration, and juvelook eye was a good alternative - I will do it again next year. The cheek fillers did more for the mid face drooping than the Linear z laser.

Delumina beauty

Recommend. Im currently in the flaking/itchy stage of the microblading process but I think it looks pretty natural and covered the bald spots along my hairline that I was concerned about.

All in all-

I’m really happy with my experience overall and aside from the first clinic, things went according to plan. Would I do it again? Already looking at flights!

Things to do again: pico, Potenza, juvelook eye

Things I want to try next: jimjilbang (sauna), skin botox, juvelook skin, body onda and fat dissolving injections.
