Been grinding this one for months! Also threw an underbird behind the back 😁 good weekend for dama!!
Been consistently doing Kendama for about 3 weeks now, super hyped to have gotten this! Been working on it for a few days and finally got it!
Chuffed to have got this. I feel like I'm slowly getting there with juggles. Just need to get multiplex juggles now. I can only seem to get one full round then I start dropping the ken.
I haven’t bought a fresh setup since like 2018. Where are all the kendamas at? Krom, sweet, cereal, terra, lotus, sol, grain theory, every single Kendama sold out? What??
Just started 3 weeks ago, what can i improve on in terms of technique or tama control?
I’m getting back into Kendama after a couple years and I’m looking to buy a new kendama. right now I have a pretty shredded sweets radar and I’m looking for something to upgrade to that’s not too expensive.
Been playing for about a year or so - I don't do much outside of cups. I'm not great with hole control but I pick this thing up nearly every day and love a good spike when it happens. I have a dream of landing a yank spike...
Wife has been saying to get a new one, but at my current level I don't know if it would even be beneficial, or if I should just keep using this one until I truly feel like I need one or this one breaks. This is an entry level Sweets model - do you think I should upgrade, or have an recommendations?
So I tried to make a little flying v tutorial. Hope this helps.
And if you have more questions. Just ask! I’m happy to help

new learn! did i get the terminology right?
After some thought, I’ve determined the top 5 criteria for rating a Kendama spot. I will begin rating my yard as a control.
Please feel free to disagree with the ratings! All kendama spots and ratings are subjective and created for the sake of imperial fun.
Kendama Spot Rating #1 - My Yard
Air Quality - 8/10 - 72F/22C, gentle breeze, low humidity
Sounds - 5/10 - lo-fi music mixed with road noise
Scenery - 6.5/10 - diverse shrubbery, green grass
Amenities - 9/10 - full kitchen, bathroom, drinks
Safety - 10/10 - only friendly neighbors here
Kendama Spot Rating #1 - Score: 77/100
Does anyone know the actual name of this trick?
I want to buy my first kendama, but after doing a lot of research, the ONLY somewhat decent option I have is buying one from AliExpress. From what I’ve seen, the most recommended choice would be a maple kendama, but that’s WAY above my current budget, and it doesn’t make sense for me to spend that much right away.
The options I found that seem good are:
Hun Kendama Pure Kylin Model Tasse Kendama TA Series
My concern is that these models are made of beech wood, and from what I’ve read on forums and Reddit, it made me worried because it sounds like the kendama might break in less than two weeks of use. Is it really that fragile? It wouldn’t make sense for me to even start if the only viable option I have won’t last at all :/
Note: In the country I live in, I don’t have access to any kendama stores, and importing from other websites would be much more expensive (2x or more compared to AliExpress).
