What the title says, for context i’m an asexual person but I do want to… explore? Or just stop feeling uncomfortable doing that to myself and body. Anyways I also wanted a new perspective on it so I wanted to study a god related to it. Is there any? Do fertility related gods count? When I’m not looking for fertility obviously lol. I’ve believed in Anubis since I was a small child, many dreams, many many dreams. I keep hearing my girl in my consciousness at the periphery, is this common? I know she is still there, I would be lying if I said I don’t fear the dead. Can y’all pray that some of my money (in spirit) gets to her? I’ve seen her after her passing she needs unknown money about the spirit and wealthy locale to help her heal.

I am somewhat new to kemericism and in the past I have debated people on hear but now I have grown in curiosity and I do want to worship the gods but I am a logical person and I like good evidence to support my beliefs to some it up have anyone ever heard of the saying dont build a house on sand but rock that is basically how I think so please is their any good evidence for the gods?

Hi! I’m relatively new to the Kemetic community, and I wanted to ask a few questions about it as I’ve had a kind of pull to Kemeticism. I have previously put together altars for Greek deities (my ex roommates took every single piece of them) and that’s the only pantheon I’ve been knowledgeable about. I have so many questions but I’ll only put a few here.

1. Would having altars and worshipping deities from the Greek and Egyptian pantheons be possible?

2. How do I get started? There are SO many things on the internet that it’s a little overwhelming

3. I saw someone say that the religion is closed, but the practice is not. What does that mean?

4. What are some small daily things that you do in honor of the Egyptian deities? I work 5 days a week so I find myself being a bit short on extra time through the week

E outra dúvida que tenho como me aproximo? Existe orações? Ou simplesmente converso normalmente como converso com alguém?

Alguma recomenda de livros para eu poder entender melhor sobre ele?

Since Tomadachi Life is mega popular right now, would you include any of the Netjeru in there? I've thought about it, but I'm unsure if it would be appropriate or not. I've never played it (but I want to!), and I know it can get really out of pocket. Unsure if I would love that combo with the Netjeru or not.

My patron deities are Sobek and Djehuti, and I’m also an occult practitioner so my understanding of Set is partly shaped by his role in other traditions. I’m hoping to hear from people who actually worship him/work with him.

In my understanding, Set is very much associated with chaos. I understand that the idea of Set as a “villain” isn’t accurate, even though he is the adversary of the other Netjer in the Contendings story.

Set seems to be very popular here, and for whatever reason, many people seem to be drawn to working with him in this particular time. Given how chaotic world events/politics have been for awhile now, I’m wondering if any followers of Set see this as part of their call to worship him.

I absolutely don’t want to demonize Set - I don’t see him as evil or bad, but given his connection to forces of chaos, I’ve been wondering whether people who work with him see his role/see him as a part of this chaotic time in world events.

Do you see your call to Set as connected to this current era in human history? How do you see His role/influence/archetype participating in world events, if at all?

I am a polytheist. I am a strict reconstructionist but somewhat eclectic. I entered polytheism with a predominant interest in Gaulish polytheism. Gaul of course had a great deal of Roman and Kemetic influence which I took in too. I am returning to religious practice after a period of inactivity when I largely left an organization I led. I see this time as an opportunity for new growth and giving back.

Tonight I am planning a long ritual candle burning with prayers, traditional theurgy and meditation. I would like to ask for those willing, to pray for me, whether it be libations, a simple prayer or a time of quiet. If anyone is interested in talking I would be happy to chat. I feel it’s very important to communicate with other pagans. My hope is with your support I can find my next steps with the gods.

I love reading up on mythology its very interesting but something that always bothered me about kemeticism or even other mythologies like norse for or greek is that its not very straight forward and its pretty decentralized. Like in islam and christianity its structured and theres a purpose for everything, the storyline starts with the creation of the universe. In kemeticism theres so many gods and apparently they dont really care about you in the same way the abrahamic god does, they are more like a friend if i understand correctly and the creation myths arent very concrete its kind of just a "believe what you want" kind of thing. Some people believe ra created the universe, others believe it was someone else others arent concerned about it and so on and so so on. Makes me wonder what draws you toward it. Not trying to start a religious debate thats not my intention but like for example someone joins islam because its straight forward and highly structured and because it makes sense logically to alot of people. Similar with christianity except its an emphasis on jesus's love. What kind of evidence does kemeticism present that makes you go "damn... This is 100% the truth"

My husband and I partake in 4/20 festivities and I been considering inviting Set to join us. Do you think he'd enjoy that?
