KIIT VS VIT CHENNAI! BEST OPTION FOR LONG TERM CAREER?

I have already got KIIT cse(ds) branch

It is nearer to my home

I got 20529 rank in viteee so manifesting vit chennai cse at category 3 or any specialisation branch in category 2/3

Everybody here are encouraging me to join KIIT as it is nearer and i can also get guidance for GATE exam.

They say KIIT=VIT in terms of placements. (THESE ARE SAID BY SOME GENUINE PROFESSORS AND EDUCATED MEN HAVING GOOD KNOWLEDGE ABOUT COLLEGES)

I always wanted to move out of my home but i don't understand what to do!!

My parents again wanna baby sit me for the next 4 years!!

PLEASE HELP ME OUT WHAT TO DO, WHAT TO JOIN, I AM SO CONFUSED RIGHT NOW

PLEASE GIVE ME GENUINE FACT CHECKED REVIEWS AND STATEMENTS!!

Hey everyone, I’ve been allotted CSE at KIIT and I’m seriously considering joining. I wanted some honest answers from seniors

I have a few specific questions:

How strict are the hostel rules really? (curfew, entry/exit, attendance checks)
Can first-year students go out regularly or is it very restricted?(if i have permission from parents then can i?)
Is it possible to seriously pursue singing in hostel?
Can I practice daily?
Will using something like a harmonium be an issue (noise rules, roommates, etc.)?
How are the gym facilities?
Can beginners maintain a consistent routine?

How is the hostel food?
Do most people stick to mess or eat outside?

What’s the general outing scene?
Are there places nearby to go regularly?
Is it easy to manage outings with hostel rules?
Overall, how easy is it to balance:
Academics
Skill-building (coding)
A serious hobby like music

Im dead serious about learning music as i want to do it as a side hustle and eventually starting to shift from job to music

All replies are appreciated
Thank you :D

I gave kiitee coz my siblings studied here , my parents think it's nice and familiar and i like it too

I got a very low percentile in kiitee phase 1 still I was eligible for counselling so I did apply with cse being on top , followed by cs(ai), cs(ai&ml), cs(ds), cs (cyber security). I knew I won't get the core branch I did submit the preference anyway. I didn't get any branch..my friend who got even lower %ile than me got cse core branch , idk what to do now..is there any way Ill get admission here?I will apply for phase 2 but competition will increase ig?

Seniors please give a genuine review on these topics so its easier for people joining to locate it and read in one place

If you're giving a review ,please mention what year you're in too (as many people just comment "don't join the college" with no extra explanation)

Im thinking of joining CSE core this year so it would help if the people got a review from people already studying there

academics: quality of professors and strictness (in general,i know it varies from person to person) etc

academic facilities: libraries, study material and clubs etc

campus facilities : places to spend time, quality of gyms,fests,crowded/non crowded, basically the overall gist (i know the campus is quite big)

hostels: general quality of rooms, common bathrooms/washrooms,managment and mess (veg/non veg)

placements: opportunities for people maintaining a good cgpa, rough idea of number mass hiring companies and good paying companies (8-9+ lpa)

You can also add points about things you like about this college and also what you don't like about it

Also if you don't want to add a detailed review on all the topics you could just give a review on the topic you feel comfortable about (not all even 1 or 2 works fine)

Thank You!

PS: I've talked to some seniors in dms and they've given good reviews but i also want to know about what the people in general think about this college
