Bye bye Jimny?
A little birdie from maruti tells me that they are discontinuing the production of Jimny in the near future, for India. Any one else from there who can confirm this? What would happen to current owners in this scenario?

Finally took the Jimny to Tehri Dam, Kanatal and Rishikesh and this thing absolutely belongs in the mountains.
did a mix of highway cruising, steep climbs, rough patches, and dusty roads (got a bit worried about the snorkel + DIA Setup I have, but its all good). The short wheelbase and light weight make it ridiculously fun on hill roads and it feels capable enough to go exploring without stressing too much.
The best part wasn’t even the driving though, it was just sitting there near the dam, mountains in the background, completely disconnected from city noise for a while.
People joke about the Jimny being tiny until they see where it can comfortably take you.
Anyone here using the Jimny as their primary/daily car? I’m seriously considering booking one this week and would love to hear real ownership experiences — especially from people using it regularly and not just for weekend off-roading.
This will also be my first car. I live in Goa, so the size and lifestyle aspect of the Jimny actually feels perfect for me. I had booked one last year, but ended up cancelling it because almost everyone around me kept discouraging me from buying it. Honestly, I regret cancelling it even more now.
Would really appreciate honest feedback from owners:
- How is it as a daily driver?
- Any regrets?
- Comfort, mileage, highway experience?
- Maintenance/service experience?
- Is it a good first car overall?
Thanks in advance :)
I tried but couldn't land a better deal.
They mentioned that they can help me get lower ROI about 8%.
When you run into your doppelgänger at the petrol station 😎🚘🚗
Cons
Seat can use some cushioning for long trips
It badly needs a bug deflector ( suggest me an affordable one )
Reverse camera angle is looking too downward, it should have been 3-5 degrees Up
Owners who have upsized their tyres to continental cross contact please do comment, for how much did u got and how much did you got for the stock tyres.
I’m also considering apollo apterra , as it gives a much wider stance . Does it give speedo errors, mileage drops? What about suspension problems.
Please do help
Been noticing a weird issue with my petrol car’s fuel filling lately and wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.
I’ve been using the same car since 2023. Normally, when the fuel is almost empty and I go for a full tank, it usually takes around 38 to 39 litres max. My car’s official fuel tank capacity is 40L, so that always made sense because some fuel is still left in the tank.
But from the last few fuel top-ups, I’ve started seeing strange numbers:
- 40L, 40.5L, 40.85L, even 41L once
And this is while there was still some fuel remaining before refill. I’m unable to understand how a 40L tank is suddenly accepting more than 40L consistently.
Could this be:
- Air gap / expansion in tank design?
- Different auto cut-off sensitivity?
- Or am I missing something technically?
Would really appreciate if someone with automotive knowledge can explain this. It has genuinely confused me.
Hey everyone,
I recently got a new Jimny(so happy with the purchase) and I’m looking for a good and trustworthy place in Gurgaon for:
-Jimny accessories/mods
-Aftermarket installations
-Detailing/wraps
-Lighting, infotainment, interior work, etc.
I live in Sector 57, so preferably looking for places nearby or within around 20–30 mins from Golf Course Road.
Would especially appreciate recommendations from fellow Jimny owners who’ve had good experiences with shops that understand the car properly and do clean work.
Thanks!
Jimny geeks , can Anyone who has driven good miles on a full system exhaust please educate me on what to do and what not to. I have installed Automec two muffler system exhaust with bmc oval trumpet air filter looped to A pillar snorkel.
The exhaust isn’t loud or annoying , rather very quiet below 2.5k rpm and I like it ,helps with removing the weightlessness on highways and motion sickness caused by the stock system.
is it good for long road trips?
I am experiencing odd burnt smell which is quite evident when driving if we turn A/C to outside air ventilation.
Spread some light on this topic, as it’s my first time using a full system exhaust on a NA car.
Can anyone provide me suzuki Jimny Alpha AT manual pdf??, with the car i only got manual for SMartplay pro+ infotainment system
- Stone guard coating (silver coating on Silencer) - 1,500/- + gst
- Anti rust coating from bottom - 4,000/- + gst
- teflon coating for paint - 3,500/- + gst.
I am new to such details. Aren't all these things done by the manufacturer default for the new car? Or should I do it?
Is it really how jimny records this?
99.59 hours for 3188 km ? Is it fair or looks fake?
I am confused. Please help
i have not read the manual Yet, did not get a chance
