A little bit of good news?
Emailed my lawyer yesterday, asked about the status of the HHS J1 waivers she is managing and she responded that they already have had some waivers from December approved, so seems like they are processing them. Hang in there guys!

This is the reply from the J1 waiver website email 212ewaiver@state.gov when I emailed them last night.
My lawyer also updated me that they received recommendations for their other applicants today, so she confirmed that there has been movement, although very slow.
