This is why that photo shoot mattered, there need to be consequences.

This is why that photo shoot mattered, there need to be consequences.

We need the board to step up and take action, this wasn’t ok and it cannot be forgotten just because we achieved our season objective. At the very least there needs to be a different chairman.

Another summer of changes at PR

Sadly couldn’t say what is going on but all started essentially immediately after promotion. Fantastic to see continuing investment in the place.

New fan from Korea — looking to learn more about Ipswich and choose my first shirt

Hi everyone,

I’m a football fan from South Korea, and recently I’ve found myself getting more and more interested in Ipswich Town.

I’m still new to the club, so I don’t want to pretend I know everything yet. I’ve been reading about the history, the recent journey, the atmosphere around Portman Road, and the way the fans talk about the team. There’s something really appealing about a proper football club with a strong identity, and Ipswich feels like a club worth following properly, not just casually.

I’m thinking of buying my first Ipswich shirt, but I’m not sure whose name to get on the back. From what I’ve seen so far, players like Leif Davis, George Hirst, Jack Clarke and Dara O’Shea all seem like good options for different reasons.

I’d love to keep supporting the club from Korea, learn more as I go, and hopefully one day make the trip to Portman Road to watch a match in person.

Who would you recommend for a first Ipswich shirt, and why?

I asked AI what “Up the Town” means, and it said it’s a phrase Ipswich fans use to show support for the club. Is that correct?

Any West Ham players we’d like to nab?

Jarred Bowen could be a decent striker for us. I’ve always liked watching Crysensio Summerville too, a very fast and clever winger, but rumour has it he’s off back to The Netherlands. Who would you nab?

Preferred Striker

Scotland football fan here. Genuine question since there is a bit of debate on who should be in the squad for the coming World Cup so I wanted to know who you would prefer was playing for you…
Oli McBurnie,
Ross Stewart,
George Hirst,
or Tommy Conway

So who do you think we have in our squad that's Premier league ready, who do you think could surprise next season and who do you think has to go?

For me I honestly think Jack Taylor is ready I think he could be instrumental for us next season.

UPPA TOWEN

1' QPR kick off.

2' EARLY CHANCE! Taylor finds Davis in behind. Walsh comes rushing out, though, and does well to save Leif's effort.

3' HIRST OPENS IT!! 1-0! Matusiwa wins the ball in midfield, and after a few passes Taylor slips Davis through on the left. His ball into the box is met by Hirst, who taps it in.

7' Philogene is open in the box, but his shot is blocked by a QPR defender.

9' AND ANOTHER, IT'S PHILOGENE!! Burns finds Hirst on the edge of the box, who then plays it to Philogene ahead of him. After getting past one, Philogene pokes his shot past Walsh.

31' Philogene swings a cross towards the far post which is met by the head of Hirst. He heads it into the box for Nunez, and after being tackled the ball falls to Furlong behind him. He smashes a shot over.

38' Vale fires over from distance.

40' 3 QPR shots from Varane, Mbengue, and Vale are all blocked in quick succession. The ensuing corner is caught easily by Walton.

45' 5 minutes added on.

45+5' HT- IPSWICH TOWN 2-0 QPR

=============

QPR SUBS: Madsen and Clarke-Salter off for Smyth and Smith.

46' Town kick off the second half. Hirst's shot from the edge of the box is straight at Walsh.

47' Furlong is booked.

51' Smyth makes a good run and is only stopped by a lunge from Greaves. From the free kick, Chair fires over.

54' PHILOGENE CLOSE! Matusiwa lobs a ball to Philogene in plenty of space. Jaden takes it first time and shoots, but his volley is stopped well by Walsh.

58' Smyth makes a run all the way to the edge of the box under little pressure, and his shot is saved by Walton. Before a QPR player can get the rebound, O'Shea clears.

62' SUBS: Philogene and Burns off for Clarke and McAteer.

71' SUBS: Hirst and Nunez off for Azon and Mehmeti.

77' Davis's free kick finds the head of O'Shea at the back post, but his attempt to head across goal is too heavy for McAteer to tap in.

80' QPR SUB: Morgan off for Mulugeta. Apparently Chair came off for Saito earlier as well.

83' Smyth's shot is saved by Walton and parried straight to Bennie, who smashes his shot miles over.

85' MCATEER FINISHES IT, 3-0 TOWN!!! Mehmeti wins the ball from Edwards and Taylor takes over. His attempt is stopped by Walsh, but he then gives it straight to McAteer to tap in.

87' SUB: Taylor off for Neil.

90' 4 minutes of added time.

90+4' WE'RE GOING BACK UP, IPSWICH TOWN 3-0 QPR

Firstly, congratulations the Town on yet another promotion!!! And great to see ‘early goals’ for a change.

I’m pretty sure there’ll be a bigger ‘war chest’ this year for incoming transfers in readiness for the Prem. Quite a few top PL players will be out of contract at the end of the season so who would you love to get in for next season - if we could lure them in?

Andy Robertson would be my pick. I think his PL experience would be an amazing boost, although rumour has it Spurs have already been in contact with his people. However, if they go down then we’d be a better prospect IMO.
