Is a Ryzen 7 5800x3d + Intel ARC B580 the best combination while maintaining DDR4? (Post redone because I made a mistake in the previous one.)

Rewritten because there was an error in the previous post.

My current paired PC is an i5 11400F + arc b580, and even though the Intel drivers have improved, I still feel a certain bottleneck in more demanding games.

Which CPU upgrade would be best while keeping DDR4 RAM: the R7 5800x3d or the i5 14600k?

B70 TOPS vs. 5070

So my 5070 is running about 950 TOPS with a small OC. The B70 is in the 300's despite being faster than a 5060TI in gaming. It feels like with more power it should break 400 and it might at least close on the 5070 in gaming. It feels like it should have been more around 500-600 TOPS?

Has anyone benched the b70 against the B580?

with the new game drivers i'm wondering if the b70 would be a good buy for a gaming system if i wanted arc but wanted more horsepower than the 580 has.

Intel B50 GPUfor LLM

I have been using IPEX-LLM to run models and it works pretty fine.. sadly the repository is no longer maintained by Intel.. so I was looking for alternatives and doing some testing:

ollama with vulkan - pretty slow

llama.cpp for Intel - not reliable

vLLM - could not get it working

Anyone here using an Intel B50 GPU for LLM? what are you using?

b70 coil whine

does anyone else have EXCESSIVE coil whine with this thing? the fan is loud, k sure fine its blower...but it sounds like im next to a fricking dying bird. am i just unlucky as always?

Has anyone successfully used an Intel Arc Pro B70 on a Windows VM?

I bought the Intel Arc Pro B70 on launch day to replace an aging Nvidia Tesla P40 in my Proxmox server. After updating to a supported kernel, Proxmox was able to detect the card and load the xe driver.

I did a full GPU Passthrough to a Windows VM and the full driver installed to get any firmware updates. After reboot the card shows as detected but failed with a Code 43 and the Intel Pro Graphics Software reports an unsupported system configuration.

I then went back to Proxmox and loosely following the Level1Tech's guide I was able to split the B70 into 4 vfs. I attached 3 of the vfs to various Linux VMs and after faffing around with kernel updates I got them all seeing the vGPUs. Plex running on one of the VMs was able to hardware transcode a 20GB movie in about 5 mins.

Going back to the Windows VM, I attached the 4th vf and booted. It saw the vGPU as an "Arc Pro B70 Graphics" but the driver still fails with Code 43 and the Intel Graphics Software reports the same unsupported system configuration.

So far the GPU has failed to work on a Windows VM with full passthrough or as a vf. Has anyone been successful getting a B70 to work on a Windows VM?

Necesito ayuda con mi Arc B580

Buenas, necesito ayuda con un problema.. compré la arc b580, al principio funcionaba bien pero ahora la PC se me congela y la pantalla se pone negra, indagando el error me da error bsod irql not less or equal asociado a driver gráficos igdkmdnd64.sys.

La PC se me congela y se apaga la pantalla en momentos aleatorios..

La PC funciona bien probando otra gráfica.

Que podría hacer para solucionarlo ? Teniendo en cuenta que ya tengo los drivers más actualizados de la gráfica, ya probé los anteriores más estables con DDU etc..

Ya probé configurando la bios, ya probé varias fuentes de alimentación.

Mi placa sería una Gigabyte b760m y mi procesador i5 14th 14600k.

Quizá sea un problema de fabrica ? a alguien más le ha pasado, y pudieron solucionarlo?

O me compro otra gráfica cuando pueda ahorrar:(
